This fall when I went to start my furnace it wouldn't start. I called Lou Fasano on Sept. 29, who sent out a repair person right away. The furnace was old and needed replacing anyway due to rust damage which had been noticed 2 years earlier. John diagnosed a bad circuit board and suggested not putting more money in the old furnace but getting a replacement. On Sept. 30 I asked Lou for an estimate for a new replacement furnace. Lou got back to me on phone that evening with estimates for a Trane and Run True (Rheem sub brand). He said he would email the estimates. Unfortunately he had an old email address for me and I did not get the estimates. Also, due to hurricane IDA which had ruined a lot of furnaces around Manville, he said it was hard to get some repair parts and new furnaces. On Monday Oct 4, he said he could install the new furnace on the 7th. Angelo and Tony arrived at 10:00 on the 7th and installed a Trane furnace, 95% efficient , 100.000 BTU unit the same as the old furnace. It was slightly smaller than the old furnace so they had to do some sheet metal work. They finished at 3:00 leaving the basement clean. They did a neat job and did not play disturbing music as some other installers have. They installed a new feature where the furnace would turn off if the condensation pump would overflow, as a safety feature. The next day I noticed that sometimes the furnace was on and the thermostat worked and then it would go off and the thermostat would not work. Then a short time later it would come on again. Also the condensation pump seemed to be on all the time. I called Lou at 8am the next morning and he sent Angelo out immediately to identify the problem. Turns out there was a crimp in the plastic section of the condensation pump output line causing the flow to be very slow. Thus the pump would start to overflow and the new feature turned off the furnace until the pump lowered the water. Angelo replaced the crimped line at no cost and the furnace has worked perfectly ever since.

Great communication from the office! Technician came and found the problem immediately. Changed the capacitor and my air conditioner was back in 30 minutes. Very reliable! I've used them 4 times now and they do good work! I have an old system that I am trying hang on to. I guess when it's time to be replaced I will be call Lou Fasano!

Beyond expectations. I have a huge issue with someone telling me some just to sell me something. Lou was so personable on the phone assured me that it shouldn't cost that much money and someone would be on site shortly. His equally as personable and knowledgeable tech Steven came within 30 minutes and fixed the problem for minimal time and cost. Wow! Beyond my expectations and I will definitely call upon them again :)

The experience was average to everyone else. They were reasonably price, but in terms of HVAC, when I tell them to make sure that everything is working fine, they usually carry a lot more meters with you to test out the unit before you just come and tell me "oh the power to the outside is good, so everything's fine". I think it was a hack job that they did yesterday. It was a $!00 for 30 minutes. They were professionals and I was a new client, so I assumed they would be nice. It's just natural.

Very professional installation with a good deal of attention to detail. The installers arrived on time, covered the carpeted areas in the home and proceeded methodically to install the HVAC system. The crew were very polite and respective and ensured that the system was balanced and corrected any issues some of which were out of the scope of the agreed to work. Lou, the owner, very professional and knowledgeable and never felt pressured to an up sell situation.

GREAT!! SINCE OUR AC HAD QUIT THEY REGARDED IT AS AN EMERGENCY AND CAME THE NEXT DAY. THE YOUNG MEN WHO INSTALLED WERE VERY POLITE AND HARD WORKING, EVEN CLEANING UP THE BASEMENT WHEN FINISHED AND TAKING AWAY ANYTHING LEFT FROM THE JOB. LOU HAD A WONDERFUL ATTITUDE AND TREATED US AS FAMILY.

OUR A/C UNIT WWAS NOT BLOWING COLD AIR.
MY HOUSE WAS VERY HOT AND MY FAMILY WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE
LOU HAD SERVICED OUR A/C SYSTEM FOR MANY YEARS AND WAS TRUSTED BY OUR FAMILY SO WE CALLED HIM.
 HE RETURNED MY CALL ON MONDAY MORNING AND INFORMED ME THAT HE WOULD BE SENDING A TECH TO THE HOUSE ASAP.I WAS AT WORK BUT MY WIFE ARRANGED TO BE HOME TO RECEIVE HIM.
MY WIFE CALLED TO SAY THAT THE TECH HAD ARRIVED AND WAS WORKING ON THE SYSTEM.
SHE CALLED ME BACK APPROX 2 HRS LATER AND SAID THAT THE SERVICE GUY WAS FINISHED.
LOU'S TECH FOUND THAT    
"
THE UNIT WAS EMPTY AND NEEDED TO BE RECHARGED WITH FREON"
MY WIFE ASKED HIM HOW THAT COULD HAPPEN AND IF HE COULD TEST THE SYSTEM TO FIND OUT IF THERE WERE ANY LEAKS. 
THE TECH SAID THAT HE TESTED THE UNIT AND FOUND NO LEAKS,AND PRESUMED THAT THE FREON HAD BEEN "STOLEN"
 
HE NOTED THIS ON THE INVOICE HE GAVE US.
THE AMOUNT FOR THE SERVICE WAS $586.00 WHICH INCLUDED 100 DOLLARS PER HOUR FOR SERVICE AND CHARGING THE SYSTEM WITH 500 POUNDS OF FREON.
WHEN I ARRIVED HOME THE HOUSE WAS HOTTER THAN WHEN I LEFT.
THE FOLLOWING DAY I CALLED IN ANOTHER HIGHLY REGARDED HVAC COMPANY TO CHECK THE SYSTEM.
THE TECH CALLED ME AT WORK AND INFORMED ME THAT THE SYSTEM HAD NOT BEEN TESTED WITH A DYE STICK AS THE LAW REQUIRES BEFORE CHARGING AND THEREFORE ALL OF THE FREON THAT I PAID FOR HAD LEAKED OUT ALMOST INSTANTLY!!!!

THERE WAS IN FACT A HUGE HOLE IN THE COMPRESSOR LINE
A FURTHER EXAMINATION OF MY FURNANCE INDICATED THAT THE COIL I PAID LOU TO INSPECT IN 2013 WAS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY AND THAT

CARBON MONOXIDE GAS HAD BEEN BLOWING THROUGH A HOLE IN THE FURNACE AND INTO MY HOME.

MY FAMILY COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED!!!!!

THE TECH SAID THAT ANYONE INSPECTING THIS UNIT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THIS AND NOTIFIED ME IMMEDIATELY!!!!
I HAD TO HAVE THE ENTIRE UNTI REPLACED AND I AM OUT ALL F THE MONEY THAT I HAVE SPENT WITH THIS COMPANY INCLUDING THE 586 DOLLARS OF FREON THAT WOUND UP IN THE AIR INSTEAD OF MY HOME!

"Very simply put, this is a false complaint. Mr. [Member Name Removed] called me later that same night and asked me if I could give him a discount on his invoice. I explained to him that we charged him a fair cost for his repair that is already at or below market value. I also explained our schedule was full and we came out after hours so they (his wife called) would not have to sleep with no air conditioning. He didn't care what we did for him, all he was concerned with was that he wanted a discount and was very disrespectful. I also reminded Mr. [Member Name Removed] that he still owes $50 from an air conditioning system repair we did on July 26, 2013, ticket #5744S that is still open and we still came out and serviced him when he needed us. 1- This service call was called in and executed successfully on June 8, 2015, the same day during hot weather. 2-Out technician pressurized the system with nitrogen, which held and then pulled a vacuum test and it was successful. 3-The system did not take 500 pounds of refrigerant. It was charged with 6.3 pounds of refrigerant R-22 as shown on the service ticket. 4-He never called and said that it was not working. If he had, we would have responded. He did call again to let me know who I was messing with. I told him to call around to compare prices and he would see that we are fair. He didn't care. 5-Carbon Monoxide could have killed your whole family he said in the complaint-Our first visit was a call about air leakage on the plenum on July 7, 2008, service ticket #3360, we patched two (2) holes in the plenum with metal and caulked because the air was leaking. What would this have to do with carbon monoxide? No relationship and you are talking 7 years later. 6-He never said it failed again or mentioned hiring another company. I learned of this on Angie's List web site. Furthermore this customer made a complaint to the BBB stating that we never replaced a coil that he said he had paid to install, first of all, he never hired our company to install a coil and second, according to his complaint with Angie's list he stated that he had our company inspect his coil in 2013, serviced his unit on 7/26/13 Ticket #5744S after he called to say his a/c wasn't working correctly, not for an inspection. This customer stated many lies and there are many indiscrepancies between his complaints regarding the same call. The bottom line is this is a malicious lie. When he called for service, we always respond. If this was true, why weren't the authorities notified? Why no lawsuit? If we made a mistake, we would have corrected it. I believe in karma and stand behind everything we do. It is sad this person put this kind of stuff out there because he wants a free ride. Sincerely, Lou Fasano"

He was very quick to respond to the request for proposal. Truthfully, I could not find an outfit that did both and I liked that he included removal of the old furnace in his quote. Out of approximately twelve companies I called, he was only the second to respond and the quote was very clear about the work to be performed. Setting up was not an issue. He came when he said he would. I give him and his crew kudos for getting the new furnace down to the basement and breaking apart the old one and hauling it away. When they were done with each job, not a speck of dirt could be found. All in all I am very pleased. I would also like to add that while his was not the cheaper of the quotes I received, I picked this outfit over others for several reasons. 1) the company did both heating and cooling systems. 2) They hauled away the old furnace. Other companies stated it was my responsibility. 3) His quote included more vents for the AC and we liked his plan better. My only issue is follow up. I paid $420 for a 10 year warranty and never received the paperwork. I also had an issue with the air handler (which is still under warranty) and it took two calls to get a response. The date was scheduled (this month April 2012) and I was again pleased with the service.
