"If I could give 10 Stars I would. Everything about this company is great. The phone contacts to the office with Brittany and Joe were so helpful and efficient. The work was scheduled in a timely manner. Anthony was the plumber who came out. This guy is awesome. He did amazing work. My replacing of a toilet turned into a much bigger job that added time to his work. Anthony handled it professionally, politely, could not have been nicer. He did quality work and cleaned up beautifully after the job. This is the business you want out to your home. Thank you GPS Plumbing. Outstanding."

"Joe was professional and let me know what he was going to do. After he left the problem area has been fine..no leaking, no worries. His price seemed reasonable and it was nothing compared to Horizon (stay away from them!). I have had different plumbers "fix" this issue and they keep leaving me with a problem not solved. I felt fine when he left, fine now, and i haven't thought twice about the price. I am not worried about anymore dripping! Finally! I would use him again and I would recommend him."

"I received exceptional service from 2 Guys Plumbing and heating, marked by technicians who were punctual, courteous, and efficient, effectively addressing all my concerns, which resulted in extreme satisfaction and a high recommendation. We even had them come back to put in new toilets, new pipes in laundry room, add utility sink, and fix outside faucet. Wish I had known about them sooner! Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Before starting plumbing in Mount Laurel, document your local utility account numbers and locate your water meter. Find your main shutoff valve and sewer cleanout near the foundation. Photograph visible pipe materials in your basement to help a licensed contractor prepare for the job. You must also pull any homeowner association rules and gather your existing permit history from the township office.

Helpful?

In Mount Laurel, functional plumbing requires a local permit because it alters your water supply or drain systems. Cosmetic updates, like swapping a faucet, avoid these permit requirements. You must also account for local frost depths during functional exterior work. Always check for underlying galvanized steel pipes in older homes, as replacing a simple valve exposes issues that demand functional, permitted repairs.

Helpful?

Prepare for freezing Mount Laurel winters by keeping pipe insulation rated for local temperatures on all exposed plumbing in unheated spaces. Maintain a dedicated folder with your utility account numbers, permit copies, and contact information for a licensed professional. Always keep your sewer cleanout cap accessible to clear root intrusions, and memorize the exact location of every shutoff valve in your home.

Helpful?

Upgrading your plumbing in NJ directly impacts several other household systems. Replacing older metal supply lines breaks your electrical grounding path, requiring an electrician to install a supplemental ground. Working near water heaters exposes gas line connections that demand separate permits. Additionally, altering water pressure affects forced-air humidifiers, and changing basement drainage impacts your sump pump discharge routing and water treatment systems.

Helpful?

A closed permit with a passing inspection from the township is the clearest indicator of correct plumbing in NJ. You should experience no noticeable water pressure loss at your fixtures. Your water must run clear after service line repairs. Additionally, proper drain venting prevents gurgling sounds or sewer gas odors. If you notice slow drainage, contact a local professional to correct the issue.
