"I've used George and the AMS team twice now in a jam. In early 2020, we were finishing up a remodel and after closing off a skylight the contractor went to repaint they found mold. George came the next day to give me a quote and got started on the work quickly. Just last Friday, when we had heavy rain, we had water enter our basement. I called George and he came the next day to give me a quote for the work. He had the crew there first thing Monday to get started. In both cases the crew was great. George is highly responsive and makes sure the job gets done right. He also was very honest and told me things that didn't need to be done, which i really appreciated. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my mold or water damage remediation."

"This was the first time I contacted Junk Rescue. They were very accommodating since I rescheduled twice due to rain, and they came today (4/7/2021). They called a half hour before arrival. Anthony and Robby were very respectful, reviewed the cost beforehand, and took away my junk safely, quickly and efficiently!! I would call them again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend them to anyone looking to remove any unwanted items!"

"Dan arrived at my house on short notice, evaluated a termite issue and provided a competitive quote. I was surprised that he has embraced technology and uses text msgs to communicate with clients about appointments, etc. Very quick and convenient! He was honest and straightforward, didn't try to upsell me on continuing services that weren't necessary (like the larger franchises) and even provided some free advice on how to deal with other common issues I was having with critters around the property. I hired him on the spot and he communicated promptly about scheduling, returned to perform the work as promised, 100% to my satisfaction. He left me with instructions to monitor the stations every few months and call him if I see anything, otherwise he would return in a year to inspect the property. Just so you know, other competitors were selling additional bait and monitoring stations which add another $500-700 up front with ongoing consumables and aforementioned "services" on an ongoing basis. The monitoring stations Dan installed were inexpensive, he installed 4 around the property and they are attractive to termites, so if they are there (they shouldn't be a few months after treatment), you'll know. I appreciate his common sense approach to the problem rather than trying to fleece his customers with solutions that are unnecessary. I have already recommended him to a coworker. Finally, it's nice to support a small local business. "The guy" you hire is the guy that shows up to do the work. If there is an issue, guess who you talk to?...the guy!"

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

Black mold and wood rot are both types of fungi that thrive in damp areas, but they are distinct issues with different consequences. Wood rot specifically refers to the decay of wood caused by fungi, which compromises the wood's structural integrity. Black mold, on the other hand, is a fungus that grows on the surface of materials, including both rotting and non-rotting wood. The primary difference is their impact: wood rot affects the wood's structure, while toxic black mold is a health hazard. Inhaling black mold spores can cause severe respiratory issues, whereas wood rot spores are generally not harmful to people. Because mold can grow on rotting wood, the two issues can be interconnected, but they are not the same.

Efflorescence itself won’t turn into mold, but it can cause moisture problems, which can lead to mold. It’s important to address an efflorescence problem as soon as possible, as mold can pose health risks and even compromise the structure of your home.

While goats can eat poison ivy and other plants that are harmful to humans, this doesn’t mean they can eat anything. Certain plant species, like azaleas, sumac, nightshade, Virginia creeper, and more, can kill goats. If your property has any of these plants, it won’t qualify for goat rental services. Most rental companies will ask for pictures or videos of your property or even inspect your land themselves to ensure none of these plants are present.

Yes, pros use specialized solutions and pressure settings tailored to surface sensitivity.

It is not recommended to use straight, undiluted bleach to eradicate mold as it can be too harsh and pose potential health risks due to its strong fumes and damaging effects on surfaces. To avoid adverse effects, bleach should be diluted with water in a 1:3 ratio. This ensures effective mold removal while minimizing health risks.
