"Sean came to our house on a Sunday no less, and installed the system himself and explained in great detail how the system worked as well as what to do with normal maintenance. Within 48 hours there was a noticeable difference in the fact that the musty smell disappeared. I also discussed with Sean about having some work done with the crawl space underneath our addition which he believes will also eliminate a lot of issues that have occurred. To say we are pleased would be an understatement."

"Had basement french drains installed. Communication after the inspection/estimate was excellent. Gave me a start day and they arrived on time to get the job started. They protected my hardwood floors and thoroughly cleaned the floor once they were done. Time will tell if There are any problems with the drains."

"The sinks are draining well. The stopper is fixed. The toilet was unclogged, but got clogged again the next day. Had to pour Ajax, and let it sit overnight to unclog the toilet again. That is the reason I have given a B, rather than an A"

"The worker came promptly at designated time. He asked what the problem was, he listened intently, inspected the area and diagnosed the problem quickly. He didn’t have the part he needed on the truck, so he went out and bought it right away. He replaced the part and explained everything he did and how the part stopped the leaking. Excellent service from a true professional. I would hire this company again in a second. 5 Stars!"

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

There are several steps you can take to prevent your AC drain from clogging. This includes cleaning the drain line at least every three months, changing the filter every one to three months, and getting your AC serviced annually. Also, if any problems arise with your AC, hire an HVAC technician to deal with them ASAP.

If you have a sink stopper, it can feel more challenging to clean the drain without removing it, but here are a few simple steps:

  • Pour ½ cup baking soda into the drain using a funnel

  • Pour 1 ½ cups vinegar into the drain

  • Close the sink stopper for 15–20 minutes

  • Open the drain

  • Pour 2 cups of boiling water down the drain (be cautious as boiling water can damage some types of pipes)

If the drain isn’t unclogged, repeat the process.

First, find the cleanout pipe in your yard. Unscrew the cap—you may need a wrench to do so. Then, get a drain snake. You can use a non-motorized one, but a motorized snake will make the job a little easier. Feed the snake through the pipe until it reaches the clog. Spin the snake continuously, but don’t try to feed it through the pipe anymore. Keep spinning until you feel it break the clog apart.

Air gaps get clogged by a few different means. Over time, food and grime can collect in the air gap, leading to a blockage. Mineral deposits from hard water are a common problem. Mineral buildup creates a film in the air gap and tubing, which can cause flow issues, as well as attract debris. Homeowners with hard water may want to remove mineral deposits regularly to keep the air gap clean and clear.

Biodegradable drain cleaners use naturally derived ingredients, such as baking soda, vinegar, and boiling water, which bacteria and other microbes can break down. Unlike conventional cleaners that rely on corrosive bleach (sodium hydroxide), biodegradable options are gentler on fixtures and less harmful to the environment. Because they don't release harmful gasses, they are also safer to use, especially in households with children, and do not require the same safety precautions as bleach-based products.
