"Total rip off I wish I knew what I was in for I should?ve gotten more bids, but I was in a panic and they pray on that I spent over 13 grand yes that much for an ac/heater unit and a hot water heater called them about the AC acting up none emergency call was charged 75 for showing up after they wanted to charge me over 500 dollars to replace a cheap condensation injector pump that you can buy the the most expensive brand anywhere at Home Depot Lowe?s or even Amazon isn?t more than $75. When I said I?d pass I was changing for his time which was over 200 dollars for under a half hour plus 75 so 300 dollars for nothing fixed rip off I think so "

"I AM LIVID WITH THEIR SERVICE. My husband and I have been living in our home 4 years without a single issue with our cooling system. We had UGI come out to "service" our system and said everything looked great....2 months later something with our compressor blew...that was $400. Then this morning, less than 30 days later, we apparently needed a brand new thermostat.....another $400 and guess what? MY HOUSE IS STILL NOT COOLING DOWN. So I called and said how it is absolutely ridiculous that there is still an issue especially after charging us to "fix" the thermostat. I am obviously frustrated. I work from home, its hot and I am pregnant with 4 pets in my home that are distressed from the rising heat and their customer service agent has the audacity to be BEYOND RUDE and tell me "to have a better day" as if it was MY FAULT...ok. It is very odd that ever since they came to "service" our central air system they've had to come back THREE TIMES and the system STILL NOT WORK. BEWARE!"

No. You should never directly drain a water softener into a sewer cleanout. This practice is illegal in many areas because it could allow raw sewage to get into your drinking water and make you seriously ill. Many places have codes requiring a specific seal, pipe, and a large air gap between a water softener and a sewage cleanout. It’s not a good idea to oversize your water softener. Doing so will mean the tank doesn’t get full, which can lead to channeling. This leads to a large portion of the resin beads not being utilized and the beads at the bottom of the tank being overused. Over time, this will reduce the efficiency of your system, not to mention that the upfront cost of an oversized softener is unnecessarily high. If you have a timed regeneration cycle rather than a demand-based one, you’ll also spend far more on replacing salt than you need to.

While it depends on how complicated the unit and installation is, it takes two to four hours to install a water softener unit, on average. It might take longer if pipes need to be replaced. You should make sure the installation area is clear of any objects that might get in the way before you begin.

Yes, it’s fine to drink softened water. However, if you follow a low-sodium diet or have high blood pressure or sodium-related health concerns, make sure to speak with your doctor beforehand.
