"I called Royal Landscapes and we agreed on a date (03/09/18) to meet to review the job. On March 9th, no one from Royal Landscapes bother to show up. There was no call to cancel or to ask for another appointment. Now to be fair, it snowed the day before so I'm sure it would've been a little challenging to give an accurate assessment of my landscaping needs, but really, no call to cancel or reschedule speaks volumes to me! So I will not be recommending Royal Landscapes."

"We finally found an awesome landscaping company that actually sticks to what they say they are going to do. Rich called us the same day I was on Angie s website, confirmed the date that he would come by our house for an estimate, we approved the pricing & then he actually showed up on the date that he said would, to do the job. I m impressed by his work ethic since my past experience with others has been challenging. We will definitely call him again when the need arises. Don t waste your time with others - call RJP!"

"We hired AG Construction for 3 jobs. Alex was on top of everything from start to finish. He listened to my needs and made suggestions which I took and it made a big difference. From the day we hired him until the day after all three jobs were done he was in touch at least once a day. There was never a time I did not know the status of the job. The crew was friendly and worked tirelessly all day. They started the job and cleaned up at the end of each day. The end result at all 3 sites was better than I could have ever expected If you are looking for a great crew for concrete, landscaping or fencing I would give AG Construction a call"

"Sean & his crew did the job in a very proficient manner. Due to the severity of the recent snow storm they returned 2x's following the initial visit. Sean and his crew were competent and polite throughout. An outstanding job all around. Would highly recommend [email protected] ."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

In addition to aloe vera and lilac, other effective humidity-reducing plants include peace lilies, Boston ferns, English ivy, spider plants, and lucky bamboo. These plants thrive in humid environments and can naturally lower moisture levels. Place them in areas prone to dampness for the best results.

It is possible to DIY complete hardscaping projects, but in most cases, hiring a professional is best to get the job done correctly. Hardscaping—including installing patios, decks, retaining walls, walkways, and water features—is challenging and time-consuming, so the money you spend on a professional is typically worth it. Not only will the quality be better, but you could avoid problems that come along with a lack of hardscaping experience, like drainage issues that can lead to costly foundation damage and leaks in your home.

The condition and appearance of your yard can affect your home appraisal value. A well-maintained, attractive yard with curb appeal adds to a property’s value, while an overgrown, messy, poorly maintained yard can hurt your home’s appraisal. Even small cosmetic improvements to your yard, like adding mulch, trimming trees, and cleaning out plant beds, can help your appraisal value.

Moss attaches to the ground but doesn’t have roots, so it can take four to six weeks for establishment to begin. It takes between 12 and 18 months for full coverage, and maximum thickness takes about two years. Keep your moss moist and debris-free to ensure it establishes itself well.

Since you’ll likely be digging a trench to install your yard drainage system, this is a good time to complete other tasks that involve digging up your yard, including: Sprinkler system installation Lawn reseeding Regrading your yard Redesigning your landscaping If your drain is under a walkway or driveway, your contractor must also remove those materials. This is a great time to consider upgrading your hardscaping features, especially if they’re nearing the end of their life span.
