"Greg the owner need to take classes on proper customer service or maybe he is a racist not sure. He happily took my money but seemed more annoyed to answer simple questions on why we would be requiring ground sampling. He exclamation was I seemed like I didn’t want to do it. He couldn’t be more wrong we just was asking for he professional knowledge. His explanation was he simply didn’t care since I seemed like I didn’t want to pay for it. Who wants to spend extra money? We wanted to understand the process. As the owner of the company he should know customer service is the most important or maybe it depends on the customer not sure."

"The work turned out great. Jimmy and his guys were here everyday until the work was done. Jimmy helped me design ideas when I wasn’t sure on what I wanted to do. They cleaned up every day before leaving. I would use them again on other projects with my home. They helped transform my house into something I’m really proud of showing off. Use them, you won’t regret it."

Hire reality TV star Gino Panaro from DIY Network's hit show "King of Dirt" for your next landscaping, sod & excavation project!!
"Consider this a strong cautionary tale: steer clear of Panaro Industries. My experience with them, starting in 2020, has been nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, I hired Gino for a paver installation, paying a hefty 25% premium due to his fame, expecting top-notch quality. What a grave error that turned out to be! Gino's attempt to cut corners was evident from the start. He first charged me for removing a concrete slab, then attempted to convinced me to leave it, despite already paying for its removal, citing potential disruption to the paver installation. Then came the "custom" step, which turned out to be far from custom – just a hasty arrangement of leftover pavers to extract more money --picture attached. The debacle continued with a supposed bespoke firepit and metal enclosure, which required rewelding due to poor fitting – a major concern for any future replacements. The inaccuracies didn't end there; the pavers began sinking, causing water pooling in certain areas, a problem that took a frustrating three years to address. And when they finally showed up to rectify the situation, they only completed half the job, conveniently blaming the settlement issues. Interestingly, even the half they did complete was done haphazardly, omitting essential steps like adding sand due to rain, leaving me with the task of finding another company to fill the gaps. Throughout this ordeal, Lance the sone, the supposed liaison, strung me along with promises of resolution, only to evade communication when pressed. After three years, he conveniently declared the issues out of warranty, citing technicalities in the contract. Every issue I've described has been met with frustration and disappointment. Just glance at the reviews – a clear pattern of incompetence. Avoid them at all costs; their lack of trustworthiness is detrimental to business. While I'm not one to typically leave reviews, their egregious behavior warrants a warning to others. I only wish someone had cautioned me before engaging their services. My disappointment knows no bounds; their utter disregard for customer service is appalling. I wish them well, but with a heavy heart and a fervent hope that others don't fall victim to their deceitful practices."

Unfortunately, some plumbing scenarios, like a broken sewer pipe repair, will require excavation to complete the job. Plumbing excavation costs range from $30 to $70 per cubic foot. However, if you need additional trenching, expect to pay an extra $4 to $12 per linear foot. Keep in mind that these costs are on top of the plumbing repair costs, and they don’t account for labor costs. Consult your excavation specialist to determine an accurate estimate for your job.
The average cost for pool excavation is $2,500. This cost can range from $450 to $4,500, depending on the pool shape and size, time of year, and any need to move buried utilities.
When excavating for your pool, you might have to move existing utilities. You can expect to pay an additional $15 to $25 per linear foot to move gas lines. To move a septic system, it’ll cost an additional $2,000 to $20,000. A pool that is 10 feet by 12 feet averages $450 to excavate, and a 20-foot-by-40-foot pool averages $3,020.
The cost for residential excavation is $3,200 on average, ranging between $50 and $200 per cubic yard. Total costs could range from $500 to $15,000, depending on the project type, yard size, and soil type.
When a project needs an excavator, the contractor will subcontract one as part of the larger project. If you hire an excavation specialist, you can expect to pay between $40 and $180 per hour. When excavating, if you have soil with excessive rocks or clay deposits, expect an additional cost of $200 to $1,200.
Warm weather seasons like spring and summer are ideal times to excavate due to the ground being softer and easier to dig through. However, it is important to note that bad weather, like heavy blizzard conditions or torrential rainfall, can prolong the project length, increasing costs. That’s why it’s best to avoid excavating during winter or hurricane season, depending on your home’s location.
While completing an excavation project yourself is possible, we don’t recommend it. You’ll likely need to buy or rent the equipment necessary for the job. This equipment costs as $100 per hour or $2,200 weekly, increasing by as much as 50% for larger jobs.
In addition, completing an excavating job yourself poses a safety risk. If proper marking hasn't occurred, you risk hitting buried cables and other critical piping, like gas and water lines. Additionally, if working with excavation equipment, you’ll need to steer clear of any overhead wires. Leaving this project to an excavating professional is best.
