For the residential property owner we offer turnkey oil tank removal and installation packages. We are a qualified ProGuard Contractor in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. We can remove and install a new tank on the same day saving you time and money. If you are interested in tank testing we perform soil borings to test the soils adjacent to the tank to determine if leaks have occurred. For the real estate market professional, we have a professional staff who can conduct Phase I and Phase II environmental investigations and preliminary assessments. We have NJDEP Licensed Site Remediation Professionals and Subsurface Evaluators on staff. With these certifications we can directly oversee and supervise all aspects of remediation and issue an RAO or NFA upon completion or personally review and accept all of the referenced remediation from another contractor.

Greg the owner need to take classes on proper customer service or maybe he is a racist not sure. He happily took my money but seemed more annoyed to answer simple questions on why we would be requiring ground sampling. He exclamation was I seemed like I didn’t want to do it. He couldn’t be more wrong we just was asking for he professional knowledge. His explanation was he simply didn’t care since I seemed like I didn’t want to pay for it. Who wants to spend extra money? We wanted to understand the process. As the owner of the company he should know customer service is the most important or maybe it depends on the customer not sure.

Working with SSG Barco on the removal of a decommissioned oil tank was a perfect experience. Barco was very responsive, provided a detailed quote, answered all my questions, and performed the job on time and with quality. We ran into some issues during the excavation which included finding out the air conditioner unit was located above the tank. The Barco crew was patient as we quickly found an AC person to come and disconnect the unit so the tank work could continue. The Barco team completed the work which included backfilling and completed all work with quality. The office support from Brittany was also great as she responded to all pre-work questions with in 24 hours. I would use them again and highly recommend SSG Barco to anyone.

It was a larger job than expected to remove a 3000 gallon UST, it involved excavating, cutting the steel top, breaking down the concrete filling that had been put when the tank was decommissioned, and finally remove the bottom of the steel tank (18 feet long) and refill/rebuild the backyard area. The team (between 2 and 4 people for four days) behaved very professionally. Their was minimal damage (with two excavators and a dump truck) and everything was put back in place. Even though the job was tedious, the fellows were always pleasant and easy to deal with.
