"One oven doesn't work at all ( my choice, see above), the "working" oven was never calibrated properly so using it is hit or miss. It's time to call American Home Shield to see about replacing the entire unit. I'm waiting to finish other home projects before calling them. I don't know if I'll request Greenway again."

If you choose the chlorine treatment, wait several days to allow the chlorine to work before proceeding with the conversion. There are several affordable ways to chill your pool. A pool cover can help prevent the temperature of your pool from rising during the sun. You can also run your filter at night to help aerate the water. The next most wallet-friendly option is a DIY pool chiller or fountain that uses evaporation to cool your pool.

It is a good idea to brush a pool before shocking. Brushing the sides and floor loosen up anything that is growing on the surface, such as algae. It is then easier for the pool shock to kill the contaminants because more of it will come in contact with the chemicals.

Don’t worry if your pool is still cloudy right after shocking it. Some shocking products will leave your pool cloudy for a day or so after using them. However, if your pool is still cloudy several days after shocking it, it could be due to poor filtration, low chlorine, or one of the other problems outlined above.
