Customers say: True professional

"Ray replaced some bad siding in various places, installed a new door/trim, added a gutter and ended up replacing windows for us. Sometimes weather and available workers were challenging, but he always kept me informed and was very pleasant to work with. Satisfied with the work and so far no issues-"

Customers say: Terrific value

"We hired Matt and his company to add an additional room in our basement. From the first time he came out to the completion of the project every detail was discussed and completed as promised. Our project was even started and finished weeks ahead of schedule. We will definitely be using them again for some other projects in the near future."

"It went perfectly. We removed a window and wall, replaced cabinets with new, new tile floor and updated electrical/plumbing. My kitchen is now Architectural Digest worthy. But more importantly, the workers were careful to clean up after themselves daily and arrived on time, completing the job as planned. The one day someone accidentally hit a water pipe with a nail, the mess was cleaned up and repaired before I could get home. Bolte Construction did an awesome job. He responded to phone calls, emails and text messages and things were always done the way he said they would be. I cannot imagine any other company could have done a better job. Work was done by his subcontractors but they were cautiously selected to give the same excellent service that Bolte provided."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Drawing your own floor plans is acceptable for many kinds of projects, including interior design and room layout. You can use floor plan software to create the plans but keep in mind that the floor plan will only be as accurate as the measurements you take and enter into the software.

Designing a building takes 2-6 months, depending on project size, required permits, and revisions.

Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.

While concrete walls do not need to "breathe" in the traditional sense of the word, they do require waterproofing and dehumidifying methods, particularly in basements below the water table. Concrete both contains moisture from its initial installation and can absorb water when exposed. Ensuring proper basement ventilation , installing a vapor barrier, and controlling water exposure are all important tasks.

The process typically takes 2-6 weeks, depending on the project size and level of customization.
