We highly recommend this company if you are looking for quality whole house water filtration/softener company. You will not be disappointed."
"After speaking with Ryan, I was given an honest estimate without possible issues and cost. We had alternating water pressure and sometime no water at all. They were here within the hour. They quickly resolved the issue and assured us that we had plenty of water in our well and the new pump that they installed had a five year warranty. "I called Pro plumbing to set up an appointment for them to come out and check plumbing for a leak. My appointment was for 12 pm. They ended up coming after 5 pm. The technicians were polite, they put shoe covers on before they entered the home. They spent a few minutes turning off the water supply, looking at the meter box, and told us it was a water main leak. They went to the truck and came back with a $3400. estimate to completely reroute the plumbing through the front wall, up in the ceiling and back to the center of the house. This price did not include having someone to come and repair the holes in the wall or ceiling after their part was complete. The next day I called the townhouse association to see if this was covered and they sent their plumber who was no help and just stated there is a main leak under the slab. (which means it is the homeowners responsibility to pay for repair) I called a leak locator who came out and found the leak right in the front yard, dug a hole and repaired it in less than 2 hours. This could have been a financially devastating needless repair."
"Best water conditioning company in the Charlotte area! After dealing with high pressure commissioned sales reps from other water companies, I called Kim. I told her my story and she was so sweet. Scott the owner came to our house within a day, tested our water and made an honest recommendation without putting any pressure on us. Within a week, Mark came out and got everything installed and even moved the water shut off valve so it was more convenient for us. I immediately noticed a difference in our water and I am so happy with the results! They are great people and I highly recommend them!"
It depends on the type of surface. For instance, if you’re trying to get rid of hard water deposits on glass, you can spray vinegar onto the surface and wipe it off with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. However, if the deposits are on granite or natural stone, it’s better to use baking soda and water rather than vinegar or other acidic cleaners.
Water softeners have many benefits. The most important one is converting previously hard water—water with too many minerals—to more usable, easier water. When we say easier water, we mean water that’s easier to digest, less harsh on skin and clothes, and builds up less in the water system. Softer water may lead to lower energy costs and will extend the lifespan of all appliances that use water.
The primary difference between a water softener and a water filter lies in what they remove from the water. A water softener is designed to remove hard minerals like calcium and magnesium. In contrast, a water filter has a broader effect, removing various contaminants above a certain size, which can include bacteria and other impurities.
To decide which you need, consider your goal. If you want to eliminate hard minerals, choose a softener. If you want to remove a wide range of contaminants, a filter is the better option. Filters are also generally less expensive to install. Depending on your water supply, you may need to install both for comprehensive treatment.
Yes. Hard water is what causes scale buildup, and a whole-house filter provides numerous benefits beyond water softening. Any water that enters your home will go through the filter, which cleans up all water that you will use for cooking, bathing, and drinking. A whole-house water filter also blocks harmful particles like heavy metals.
No. You should never directly drain a water softener into a sewer cleanout. This practice is illegal in many areas because it could allow raw sewage to get into your drinking water and make you seriously ill. Many places have codes requiring a specific seal, pipe, and a large air gap between a water softener and a sewage cleanout. Check out Florida's Plumbing Building Code as an example of what these restrictions might look like.
