Once started, I found the stringers (boards that support the treads) were split and pulling away from the house. Now the project was over my head, and I found Mark and IHS Construction through Angi. Mark arrived the following business day to provide an estimate and was able to squeeze my project in the same week. He and his team worked a long day to completely retrofit the staircase with new stringers, treads, and kick-boards while saving the original handrails and balusters. Once he reviewed the 111 steps guide, he contacted me and provided me a fair quote for the job. In addition, he was able to install the gazebo within five days of contacting me. In conversation with Luis, I also asked what other work his company perform, and he mentioned concrete, carpentry, renovation, etc. I had recently had a concrete patio installed and Luis was able to seal the concrete for me in addition to installing the gazebo.
