  • Falcone Crawl Space & Structural Repair
Once the emergency cleaning and vapor barrier liner were installed, we were encouraged to wait for a few months to let the space really dry out. It was a good thing because the entire southeastern part of North Carolina needed multiple services to get back to normal. Falcone was available for an assessment visit within a month, and was ready to work on our contract within a helpful time frame. They repaired the water damaged joists and replaced the insulation in one very busy day.The called occasionally just to check in,, arrived early for our work day, finished and cleaned. The workers called several times with updates as t hey worked. They took photos of this space that homeowners rarely ever enter. I know what work was done and how it looked on a specific date. Valuable information when your house is in a storm zone. They accepted a mailed check for payment since I was spending insurance money and needed to keep track of its dispersal.

The guys worked quickly. The cost in the end was fairly substantial but it was work that had to be done for us to sell our home. I was pretty happy with the company and guys doing the work. Once they repaired the issue we had no further problems and also the new sump pump helped us sell the house.

The price quoted for the work was a maximum amount and if any money could be saved during construction it would reduce the quote. As it turned out, there was a savings of $314.00 from the original quote without any compromising of the work. Both the General Manager, who gave us the original quote, and the Project Foreman were very polite, courteous and spent considerable time answering all of our questions and concerns. Without any reservations, We would definitely hire this Company again.

  • Carolina Foundation Solutions LLC
It went very well. Chuck Petzinger (Technical Consultant) was very professional in providing the estimate, ensuring that we consulted with an engineer, and following the engineer's recommendations. Melvyn and the crew also were very professional. They were careful and courteous, and explained the process thoroughly. As far as I could tell, they followed the appropriate procedures closely. The project, scheduled for 2 days, took 2 and a half days. This probably was because they took their time to be careful, allowed me to watch, and explained things as they went. I recommend Carolina Foundation Solutions.

  • Ram Jack Foundation Solutions
I selected Ram Jack based on Angie's List reviews, the work they did for a neighbor, and the initial quote.  I did a lot of research on their steel piers, and hired an independent structural engineer for an initial consultation.  Ram Jack was happy to do the work based on the engineer's findings.  The work crews showed up as scheduled, worked extremely hard, and did an outstanding job!!!  My experience with the person who did the initial bid was very good.  Communication was excellent!!!  The work crews were efficient, cleaned up the area, and even provided us pictures of the work they did.  Overall, a very positive experience.  I would use them again in heartbeat!

  • Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair
The company installed a dehumidifier in the crawl space and closed off all vents to correct and keep in check moisture under the house._x000D_|_x000D_|Also, they were to dig trenches in front of the house to divert water from the house but did not do that part because the "front guy" did not figure the drainage plan correctly. This person and the company were notified of this and it was to be re-designed and completed at a later date. As of November 4, 2013 we have not received a call to schedule this part of the original contract dated 08-26-13.

What I wanted was to stop the bounce in my dining room floor.   The china on the hutch rattled when one walked near it.  I also had the same problem in several parts of the living room.  Kerry came over and convinced me to do the additional work, advising that it would keep everything dry, keep the wood stable, and, prevent mold.   Work started 13 January 2015.   The project was not completed during the time scheduled (13-15 Jan).  The team had to come back, on three more occasions.  I foolishly paid in full on the 15th of January.  There was rework required because the concrete bases for the piers were not up to code, and the plastic was in some form of disarray.   Pressure treated wood was not used for the crawl space door and the concrete around some of the vents had to be fixed.     Overall, there were four different teams, on four occasions.  After the originally scheduled work, which took place during the week, everything else was worked on a Saturday.   The team did not show on one Saturday, and the last workday had to be rescheduled by Crawl Space due to some scheduling problem.   The last team here in September worked hard to fix the problems,  To their credit, they wanted to make sure I was satisfied.     The bounce in the floor is not perfect, but it is finally better.   Perhaps if the last team did the work in the beginning, I would not have had these problems, and my grading of Crawl Space would be better.    Workers smoking on my property will never be given an A rating by me for Professionalism..

I contracted ramjack to stabilize chimney and rotate back into position in November. The salesman stated that they would be able to do the work within two weeks and that because it was a small job they would plan it with other small jobs in the area. At this time and at every other time I spoke with the company I expressed my concern that additional mortar had been added to the joint between the chimney and the foundation and that would have to be chipped out to achieve any measurable rotation of the chimney. After having paid the deposit ($1300) and not hearing from them for three weeks I called to the Raliegh office and they said they would not be able to come till the second or third week in January! They said that they could not get their product ( they sell two items) and that I would have to wait and that the salespeople do not do scheduling and I should not have listened to him. When they came to do the work they did not even to attempt to remove the mortar and I only got a fifth of the rotation I needed. I wish I had gone with a company that was based more locally.

I have waited for three weeks on Saturday for this company to show up to perform follow-up maintenance on work they did. Here it is on Saturday again they were suppose to be here at 9.00 and no show, no call. I called the office and asked for the manager and he was out of the office again. Poor customer service, poor management, and just poor over all. What a shame.
