"We had two Carrier HVAC systems installed, to the tune of $25K. As the installer was getting ready to leave he noted that there was an error light showing but it probably won't be a problem until it gets colder and we need to use the furnace. Really? Wait for it to fail? No, I had him fix it. I expect to have a new system which is operational, not one which will probably fail on us later! Amazing! A little over a month later the furnace went out anyway. They tech looked at it and told us the control board as bad. On a system which was only a few months old! Even better, they told me they could not get a replacement any time soon - factory problems or something. Again, really? There is not another board to be had anywhere and we had to deal with no heat for about 10 days. Thank goodness we were on the downside of summer. The salesman who sold us the system leaned heavily on the fact that we would be eligible for a federal tax credit of up to $3200. Great... More in the next post"

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. We had three different colors going, some rotted wood to replace, and many bushes and trees that had to be worked around. The shutters were sprayed to change the color, and after that was completed and the sprayer cleaned, I found 4 more shutters in the garage that are extras.
