As the owner I pride myself on thoroughness and giving the transparency on your home you need so you can budget costs, prepare for the future, and know exactly what you are buying. I understand the real estate transaction process and I also understand the many facets of the different trades involved with a home and can explain repairs, offer advice and help you on your next steps to take after the inspection. (Our company does home inspections and not foundation or appraisals).

"Daniel was very detailed on the home inspection and very knowledgeable of the intense process."

Duncan Home Inspection Services is the qualified company for thorough home inspections and radon testing in the surrounding areas of Hendersonville & Asheville, NC, and Spartanburg & Greenville, SC. Adam Duncan, the owner, has exceptional work ethic, has consistent inspection and reporting procedures, and does not rush through the inspection. He is equipped with a broad comprehension of each major system of the home and how each system collaborates together to provide a functional and safe living environment. He will thoroughly, without bias, look at a home’s overall general condition, from top to bottom, taking into account the following major components: Structure, Exterior and Roofing, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Insulation and Ventilation, & Interior Kitchen appliances

"These people couldn't give any answers they just kept saying consult an engineer! For example they said my roof had many leaks i got an estimate from, of course they recommended, 8500 hundred dollars plus possibly another 5000 thousand for rotten wood. I got a 2nd estimate, thank God, no leaks and 1 price if rotten wood 4500 dollars. They are definitely looking out for themselves only. Any questions my name is Chris and my # is 910-787-6153. WATCH out for them."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

An inspection can take up to an hour, depending on the type of AC system you have. If you need to add more refrigerant, expect an extra 30 to 45 minutes.

Modular homes can go up or down in value depending on a few factors. In areas where real estate is appreciating, the value of modular homes is likely to increase, and vice versa. Additionally, the value of modular homes depends partially on the area. In cities where every other home is stick-built, modular homes might be considered a functional obsolescence, in which case they could be less desirable and go down in value. In either case, though, modular homes can still be a good investment, especially since they provide housing at a lower upfront cost.

Professionals use brushes, vacuums, and diagnostic tools to ensure thorough cleaning and safety.

Systems should be checked every 2-3 years or whenever signs of age appear, maintaining network integrity and safety at all times.

An annual inspection can ensure that a fireplace is in proper working order to avoid fire hazards and the release of carbon monoxide into the home. Not all fireplace issues, especially blockages, are easily visible from inside or outside the home, which is why a professional must conduct a thorough internal inspection of all of the fireplace and chimney components.
