TLDR: DO NOT TRUST QHC FOR SEPTIC SERVICES! Their lack of experience cost us THOUSANDS of dollars and months of time. Below is the cancellation letter we recently sent QHC, to which we received zero apologies. ---- We will no longer be employing your company for any future services due to the numerous reasons listed below: 1). One day before our originally scheduled septic install (now 3 re-schedules later), you informed us over 100ft of fencing would need to come down and our propane tank would need to be relocated. This revelation came weeks AFTER you were personally on-site with EHS to determine the new drain field layout. At no time did you or EHS bother to actually take measurements or inform us that the fencing or propane tank were potential issues. 2). This undisclosed fact alone has cost us thousands of dollars in additional work, materials and time. 3). Your lack of experience and knowledge in even basic septic installation resulted in your original low-ball quote, which again, has cost us thousands of additional dollars and months of time to secure a qualified and competent company to do the actual work. 4). A fact was disclosed to us by your receptionist on your 2nd re-scheduling call that your company did not know how much time or work it would take to install a new septic system because you had never actually done it until the week prior. Needless to say, at that point we had zero confidence in your ability to provide the service you quoted. 5). Today’s 3rd re-scheduling call was just the confirmation we needed to realize that your feet dragging is due to the fact you don’t want to provide the service you originally quoted because you lack the confidence and experience to do the job.
Response from Quality Home Consultants Inc.
"We are sorry you feel that way. Your system was a typical type of installation. We have performed may just like it. When we arrived to install your system off of a permit you provided we spent almost two hours trying to make it fit inside your fence as the county laid it out. It could not fit in that area so we called the county. The country admitted that their drawing was inaccurate and recommended the fence be removed. That was not our design or request to remove the fence. When we had to reschedule it was because our crew had Covid. Even though the county changed their drawing after we gave an estimate we offered to honor that price to help you even though it was more expensive to install. We wish you well"

I was not at the actual inspection, but my realtor said they did an EXTREMELY thorough job.  going by the resultant report, it was very extensive.  ended up paying extra for a radon inspection and report.

Report lacked vital details including structural issues that were plainly visible to the eye of all contractors who we have had come to our house since the inspection was performed. It will cost thousands to fix the various issues that cannot be ignored.
We have tried to appeal to this company with the help of our lawyer, but so far we have not gotten a satisfactory reply.

Jim of Quality Home Consultants, Inc performed a standard home inspection. This included an inspection of the plumbing and electrical components of the home as well as visual inspections of the roof, attic, and foundation. During his inspection, he found some leaky faucets, a leaking toilet, a inoperative GFI outlet, an improperly installed bathroom ceiling vent, and a couple of roof leaks. He also checked out the gas fireplace and heating system.
Jim also inspected one other home for us before this home was inspected. He discovered some basement wall issues which convinced us not to purchase this home. We felt he had a keen eye for problems.
During the first inspection, we accompanied Jim on his rounds of the home. He explained what he was doing and his observations. He also provided rough estimates of what the deficiencies would cost to fix.
Overall, we were very pleased with his service during both inspections.

The guy was good and reasonable. I didn't see the report that was done but the buyers bought the house. I had him back for the same house 10 years ago. He even came back and made a special trip because I was concerned about something in the basement and he didn't charge me. He assured me that my house wasn't gonna fall over. He could have made everything up and I would have been scared and I would have paid anything but he did not take advantage of me. I was happy because he didn't say something crazy enough to cause the buyers to back out. They're a home inspection and general contractor company. He pointed stuff out and everything.

Arrived on time and completed each step VERY thotoughly. Shannon Williams was the inspector sent out. He had excellent contractor knowledge and explained items in detail which helped us have ideas to make some improvements as well. The follow up report was the most complete I have seen (we have used other inspectors in recent years). The photo layout used was easy to follow and understand.

im Rauland, the owner originally did the home inspection for the buyer. He has done inspections in other homes for us. Thos were priced reasonably. Based in his inspections we invited him back to do the repair work. We found that to be much more inexpensive as he knew only what he had to repair
