"Our backyard had a large uphill slope, rendering most of it unusable. Additionally, there were drainage problems and a lack of privacy. All of these prevented us from enjoying our yard. Gardens of the Carolinas was the most responsive when we initiated initial inquiries, which continued throughout our project. John and his team were fantastic to work with for our backyard project. The team listened to our concerns and provided an extensive long-term vision for rectifying them and making them an area we’d enjoy moving forward. Based on our immediate needs, we decided to take a phased approach by adding a timber retention wall, a stone wall with lighting, and privacy trees. They also tapped into our existing drainage solution and made it more efficient. I view this as providing us with a canvas for future projects. We are very pleased with their work and will be a repeat customer for future phases of their initial plan. To summarize our experience with Gardens of the Carolinas: Patience: We made multiple edits to find a solution within budget. John and the team always understood and respected our concerns, ensuring we were comfortable with the decisions. Thoroughness: I was provided multiple options and pros/cons for every question. "More Like Eastern 1/3 of your lawn Maintenance! I watched my service provider on Ring cameras perform service on 3,600 square feet and ignore the front and side lawns, 6,200 square feet. But my bill reflected 10,000 square feet of service. When I called to question this, they didn't seem to care and I canceled my account. Then I got a p*****-off call from the guy who serviced my lawn (which I did not request), trying to justify the lack of work done on my property. I am still waiting on a call from the 'office manager' about making this right, but I doubt that will come. Attached is an image from the untreated portion of the property, that was nice green grass a year ago (and 1,500 bucks ago) and now it's not doing so well, I wonder what it would have looked like had it been properly serviced!!!"

"We hired Timesavers Landscaping to build a tiered stone edge wall for our front yard flower garden & add sod to the side yard. They finished today & the results are fantastic!! Eric took the time to talk about the design & any potential drainage issues given our sloped grade on one side. With Eric’s input, & a few pictures of what we wanted, we had a clear plan moving forward. The team, Eric, Michael, Tyler & their workers, communicated clearly throughout the process, were professional, easy to work with, and delivered exactly what they promised at a fair price. Their craftsmanship is excellent, and the project went smoothly from start to finish. We did have one issue with the stone. The big box store was selling defective stone so, at the last minute, Eric found different stone. What he found was even better & not that much more expensive. This was all easily resolved within 2 days. I would absolutely hire them again (we have plans for the back yard) and highly recommend their work!"

"In October of 2024 Shane came out to give me a quote for yard clean up. After several calls by me, I finally got a start date. Shane called me and said they could start a day early and I was fine with that but they showed up at 5:30pm. I was told they would start at noon. The next day (actual start date) they showed up at 7:30pm and were there for a half hour and left because getting dark. I was told they would be there the next day at 9am. At 10:30am I called Shane asking where the crew was. He actually argued with me telling me they were there. So apparently I was blind. They showed up after 11am and they finished while I was out. Only half the job was done. I emailed all photos of areas not done with pic of contract for those areas quoted. In no way did Shane reach out to see if everything was done. I had to hire another company to finish what they did not do. When I got the bill, I reached out to Shane and said we need to revisit this bill because not everything done. He offered a $150 discount (via Sara's email) which was laughable and said "if ok we will send a new invoice". I sent an email back saying $150 is not acceptable and got no response. No response for 5 months! I got an email 5 months later saying my bill was delinquent but they cut the bill in half. I never received new invoice that showed bill was cut in half till 5 months after my last contact with them. They are not trustworthy and play games. If I could give a zero, I would."
