They blew grass in my rock beds. It was a horrible job. I complained to Jackson. I sent him pictures. I said he would make it right. I told him I didn't want the same crew back. But what did he do he sent the same crew back and I told them to go away. Jackson couldn't even be bothered to inspect the bad job in person. It is not worth the frustration. Don't hire this joke of a company."

You can thicken new grass by using fertilizer, watering it 1 to 1½ inches per week, mowing when it is at an optimal height, and preventing weeds. You should fertilize your grass while you plant the grass seed, or soon afterward. Use an herbicide to prevent weeds or spot spray with herbicide to kill existing weeds.

To prepare your lawn for core aeration, water it the day before you aerate. (Alternatively, you can wait until it rains and aerate the following day.) Aerating after watering or a rainy day will make the process easier since you can penetrate moist soil better than dry soil. You should also flag your sprinklers so that you don’t accidentally hit them while aerating. If you have a lot of thatch buildup in your yard, you might need to dethatch your lawn before aerating as well.
