"Richard was very accommodating working me in to meet my move-in deadline. The technician called me with the 1.5 hour advance notice I requested within the window of time they provide. The technicians were very friendly and took the time to answer my questions regarding the cleaning method they offered. My carpets were not visibly soiled so I was surprised when the technician showed me how dirty the water was. The carpeted areas smell wonderful after the cleaning."

"The salesman set the wrong expectations. He said they would move everything but our laser cutter and they would keep in constant communication. The day of the appointment, I called to make sure they were coming because I had no idea what time they were coming and they did not confirm that day or the previous to make sure we would still be able to have it done. They got here and said we were supposed to move everything out of the room before they got there. We said that's not what the sales guy said. They move the stuff with not too much fuss. They however didn't move much back, as once again, the sales guy said they would. There were some edges that weren't completely tight and had a loose string, but nothing that I thought was worth calling them back for. The sales guy said to make sure we kept a piece of the carpet and padding in case we need to ever claim the warranty. They left no extra pieces for us. They took everything back."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpet tiles are less expensive than traditional carpet. The average cost of carpet installation is $1,800, or $3 to $11 per square foot. In comparison, carpet tiles cost $2.50 to $11 apiece and can often be bought in bulk cartons. Since you can more easily DIY carpet tiles, you may be able to save on installation costs, too.

Carpet installation costs include carpet type (material, weave), room size, subfloor preparation, and labor costs. Getting multiple quotes provides a clearer picture of expected expenses.

You can expect your carpet protection to last about six months to two years. It will last longer in low-traffic areas (compared to busy areas, where your carpet experiences more wear and tear). Once the protector wears off, you’ll need to call your carpet contractor to reapply the stain protection treatment and revive your carpet

Installing carpet over carpet may negatively impact the resale value of your home. While it offers a quick fix, potential buyers may view it as a temporary solution rather than a long-term investment in quality flooring. Properly installed and maintained flooring adds value to a home, so removing the existing carpet and installing new flooring may be a better option to attract prospective buyers and maximize resale value.

The best underlayment for carpet on concrete is a sponge rubber underlayment. This type of carpet padding is durable enough to endure wear and tear on hard concrete yet soft enough to provide comfort underfoot. It also creates insulation from sound and temperature, providing warmth despite the concrete’s cold surface.
