    Remodeling by Erik rescued our downstairs area on our second row beach home on Oak Island when it was hit by hurricane Isaias. The back wall was pushed away from the foundation by 3 feet of water that had been trapped inside. The area was not hurricane compliant so the water could not escape. Plus we had to pay exorbitant insurance due to being FEMA noncompliant. Remodeling by Erik installed FEMA compliant flood vents around the base of the home Which not only look nice but reduced our yearly insurance by almost 2K!. They also built a beautiful slat wall to replace the old solid wall thus creating more open space for water to flow out of and making a closed off, musty room more open and airy. Not to mention the slat wall is beautiful. Our outside shower was demolished by Isaias and they re-built a beautiful new shower. They also replaced our ruined water heater with a new one and had to troubleshoot the electrical that had been compromised. Take a look at our before & after photos! Erik and his team including Mike and Terry, are really nice folks to work with. They are currently renovating and expanding our tiny, outdated bathroom and we are super excited to see the results! We highly recommend them & look forward to working with them on future projects we have!😊�

    I can't say enough about how great these guys were. When we were in a really bad post-hurricane spot, they called back, came out promptly, and fit me and my wife into their busy schedule. Our house was a mess and needed lots of help and Thomas Trades was there for us in a major way. Would work with again and highly recommend. We don't know what we would have done without these guys.     Josh and his team are some of the most professional as well as personable contractors my wife and I have had the pleasure of working with. The job began with an in-home meeting where Josh not only heard all that we had to say, he built on the ideas and came up with other ones in a way that wasn't forceful or overtaking of what we wanted. He just had great input and improvements to inject based on his past experiences, which was extremely helpful for us. They were able to start within three or four weeks of first meeting, which in my opinion is a reasonable amount of wait time for a larger job, and a good sign that they have plenty of other jobs going on. The bulk of the work took about two months to complete, with a few odds and ends being taken care of over several weeks after that. One of the most amazing aspects of working with Josh and his team, even more than ease of working with them and getting the result you want, is how even after the work was done and they were paid and months had passed, Josh promptly sent someone out on multiple occasions when we called him about any loose ends pertaining to the work that was done. No questions asked and free of additional charge. Thomas Trades also came in at a noticeably lower price point than some of the other highly rated general contractors in and around Wilmington, with no degradation in quality. I definitely recommend hiring them for almost any work you need done in and around your home. Note: We (somewhat specifically) had most of our rooms painted, much of the kitchen redone, a full closet system in the master bedroom, the hardwood floors refinished, the master bath completely gutted and reworked, and a lot of other smaller items taken care of such as custom doors, hardware installs, fixture installs, electrical work, plumbing work, coffered ceilings, wall repair, etc

    Very good company to work with. Worked with owner got and estimate and set up time for his team to come in and fix problem. Took about a week they fixed ceiling in my bathroom and replaced drywall in ceiling of my laundry room as well as fixed drywall between two rooms. Also repainted entire bathroom and painted both ceilings which looked awesome. Could not be their for some of week but they still came everyday and locked up and also cleaned up everyday also. Would highly recommend and would use again. Put na on price because was not sure about the final price my neighbor paid bill since his unit had caused the damage to my condo. But did have a couple of estimates and they were all about the same but I really liked them the best had the best attitude and seemed to want to do the job. Would highly recommend and would work with again

    Joel and his guys showed up, as promised, and performed some remediation on rain and moisture that had gotten in my attic and behind my siding. Instead of cutting into my old tongue and groove walls from the inside, they took sections of siding off from the outside, removed the wet insulation, sprayed the area with an anti-fungal and dried the areas out. Had I not consulted with them, I probably would have developed serious mold issues with warmer weather. I hope i don't have problems like this again, but I would definitely use Joel again, if needed. His team is very knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend them to anybody

    They were referred by my insurer(Coleman Agency) as was the plumber(Larry@ Plumbing Repairs R US,Inc.) Jordan started a rapid response.Brian set the drying/dehumidifying equipment up-taking daily moisture readings over 3 days.He then opened the ceiling r/t the readings going into the 4th day not being dry enough.Justin(Supervisor) came to satisfy my concerns about my situation.Dusty later came to do the further ceiling diagnostics,making an amazing result of the opened ceiling-looks BETTER than before the leak! The responsiveness,communication,punctuality,final outcome,& price was more than satisfactory

    Contractor contacted me immediately after my Angies list purchase. We arranged a time to meet for him to measure and see the scopr of the work. He met me on time. While looking through the condo he assisted with my planning and made helpful suggestions. He had a contract ready for me the next day. We decided on a start date and he began on time and finished all work on schedule. He also made some additional repairs of hidden damage behind the wall paper. I was very happy with both the work and the professionalism of H&H painting. I was happy to learn that in addition to painting they could also perform general remodeling. I contracted them to replace the carpets in the condo in preparation for sale. H&H did a great job with this as well. I have already gotten estimates to remove wallpaper and paint in my personal home and to repair some leaking skylights. I am thankful that I found such a reliable contractor
