As a Realtor, I use Septic Wright for all my real estate septic inspections and highly recommend them to all of my clients for septic cleaning/installations!

  • C M Kristman, Inc.
They were very prompt, quick and courteous. The only recommendation I would make would be to be a little neater returning the soil back on top of the lid when done. I would Hire them again.

  • All About Heat & Air
The service crew arrived on time, as scheduled. They performed the work, locating a buried lid and installed a new riser for us. They re-laid a stone pathway that was covering it and it looks fantastic. Final cost was below the estimate! Great job!! They will have my business forever!!

  • Sewer & Drain Medic
I called and explained that liquid was seeping out of the top of the septic tank, but the warning light had not come on. John spent 10 minutes on the phone with me asking questions and then explaining where I need to look for tripped breakers or blown fuses. I followed his instructions and was able to find a tripped breaker at the unit (severe lightning storms a few days previous) and got the unit up and running. No service call, and no charge. I highly recommend Sewer & Drain Medic

  • Sewer & Drain Medic
Was very forthcoming with potential problems and costs to repair them. I did not buy the property so the work was never done.

Just moved into a home where the tank had not been pumped in 13 years after being in use by a family of 4. I had to get this pumped in between the other contractors working in the back yard (installing a pool and landscaping). As a result of that, I could not give Klean Latrine a firm day/time to come over. Instead, he would check in when he was coming to the southern part of the county to see if the and quot;coast was clear.and quot; I really appreciated his flexibility and follow up - it allowed me to slip him in when there was a change to the schedule for the other contractors. He showed up on time, quickly checked the tank, pumped and cleaned up. Very efficient, professional and pleasant
    r. Long arrived as promised and made quick work of the job. I was directing Mr. Long to my tank and he informed me that he didn't want to cross over a side walk for fear that it might be damaged. He was able to pump the tank from about 70 feet away which I thought was pretty neat. I had never been home when our tank was pumped in the past and enjoyed watching the process. Mr. Long was kind enough to answer all my questions and also pointed out that the concrete tee on my discharge pipe was broken. He explained how to fix it with a plastic replacement and gave me the name of a local business where I could get the part if I wanted to fix it myself. An hour or two latter and it was fixed! All in all, excellent service and price

The service they provided was excellent. My septic tank had not been emptied in over 4 years. They were very neat with the whole process, cleaning up after they were finished. They also did my nephew's tank 3 houses down and gave us both a small discount.

  • RSC Engineering, PLLC
If you want the quick summary: first rate. Excellent customer service. Very informative. Kept to schedule. We made an offer on a house with a septic system. We were referred to RSC for an inspection. On the initial inspection, many problems were found: half the system didn?t work, it was never made to code, tank partially under the driveway, etc. In a short period of time, RSC was able to help us define the problems and solution such that we could go back to the seller and negotiate the new system. Had we not known that info prior to closing, we would have been in for a costly surprise. Prior to this, all I knew about septic systems was that poop flows downhill. I started from scratch reading about things and then Sonya answered MANY of my questions and gave me quite an education. She was exceptionally patient with my questions and made sure I understood the issues and what we needed to do. We learned that the county health department makes the rules. Sonya and RSC helped us get through the inspections and permitting. Once the county told us what we needed to do, RSC got us there. Sonya laid out all the details, costs, etc. I checked "good" on the price category only because it was quite expensive. That wasn't RSC's issue; that's what the county said we must do. Our only problem was the weather. Right when we were to start installation of the new system, it started raining. Every time it looked like things would dry out, it rained some more. I?m sure this was far more frustrating for RSC than for us in that they could only sit by and wait for dry weather. Their schedules got pushed back on many jobs. Once it was dry, they started on time and kept me updated on the progress. I asked even more questions and Sonya continued to be patient and helpful. I was only able to be on site for the first few hours. The workmen were punctual and got right to work. They were quite friendly for a cold, windy early morning and considering that their first task was to remove an old non-functional septic tank. I wouldn?t hesitate to recommend RSC to you. Professional, informative, straight up-front info and costs and followed the job through as a professional should. Call them

  • Lewis Farms and Liquid Waste Inc.
This was a preventive maintenance septic tank cleaning, not an emergency. Called on Friday afternoon, they were there on Monday morning as promised. Very routine: Opened the tank, pumped it out, closed it up. Technicians were professional and efficient. Was charged a $10.00 and quot;credit card processing feeand quot; which was not disclosed in advance. Did not learn of it until I received the email confirmation. Had I known, would have used a different payment method

Septic Tank Service FAQ

  1. What are the signs your septic tank is full?

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.

  2. How often should a septic tank be serviced?

Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.

  3. What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?

Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.

  4. How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?

Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.

  5. How much does it cost to install a septic system?

Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.

  6. How long does a septic system last?

Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
