"Original install was fine. Unfortunately after 4 years the compressor went bad. We had a written 5 year warranty through him since it was an almost new used unit. We were told that the compressor was covered but not the refrigerant which was going to be close to $1,000 dollars. He supposedly had it ordered. Checked back a week or so later, and he said he would look into it. That was the last correspondence. He would not answer or return phone calls. Now we get to pay someone over $3,000 to repair it. Not recommended."

The cost of converting an electric cooktop to a gas stove depends on whether your kitchen already has gas supplies, and the cost can range from $125 to $2,000. Also, make sure your new stove’s dimensions match the old one.

It’s possible to convert an electric dryer to a gas dryer, but it’s not practical or cost-effective. A pro would need to remove specific components from your electric unit and install parts unique to gas dryers. Rather than going through this time-consuming process, you can remove your old electric dryer and have a pro install a new gas dryer.
