"Cons:
It did not get a professional job,  I got a shade tree carpenter
remodel.  I still have electrical items that don't work. I have high and
low tile and stone. I haven't yet grouted all the places where grout is missing.
It took me a week to scrape grout off the tile walls.  If I had used a
glossy tile I would not have been able to scrap the grout off at all. I used a
putty knife and a lot of elbow grease.  From what I have been told, if
they had mixed the grout correctly I would not have been able to get it off at
all ? so, mixed blessing.  I have a wall that is bent, things everywhere
are caulked - switch plates, tile, ceiling joints, molding ? caulk everywhere.
The toilet is not centered.  I still have walls I have to repaint and ceiling to touch-up.
There was plaster dust in the first week from one end of my 3800 sq. ft. home to the
other and I have a hall door which separates the two ends of the house.  They left linen
closet and other doors open so I had to remove everything and clean, clean,
clean.  They stored all the work debris and tools on a carpet in the
adjacent room and I have yet to get it fully clean.  The bath door
they installed won?t close properly. They laid the travertine far too early in
the project and then did not clean and seal it nor did they protect it, so it
is filthy.  Travertine can?t be just be washed, the dirt goes into the
stone.  I will have to have it sanded and sealed.  It has to be flat in order for this to
happen ? not high low - so I am not sure what to do.  There are three rooms with
carpets which are supposed to come up against the stone in the hall.  The workers
didn't even attempt to cut the carpets in a straight line and later tried to patch the gaps with
tiny pieces of carpet affixed to nothing.  After they created the problem their advice on fixing
it was to call in a carpet person.  I searched the internet and also talked to professional tile
persons about the methods they were using on the walls and found their method was
ill-advised.  When I approached them with what I found from these many sources
I was told ?they always do it this way?  as if doing the ill-advised all the time, made
it all OK.  Against my pleas they used the cheapest junk materials available.
Doing a job and doing a job well, are two very different things.  I am still going to
have to call in an electrician, a plumber, a carpenter, a stone person and a painter to finish
this project.  Oh, and a carpet man.
This was not the professional job I expected or wanted so I would not use this
team again.
Pros:
They were really nice guys.
It took me a long time to write this review because they were such nice
guys.  If you ignore inferior materials, stepping on uneven stone, and the
caulk everywhere and you don?t look close at the tile or mind the bathroom door
not closing correctly or the heater not working, the amenities look OK, not
great, but OK.  I purchased high end amenities.

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

There are a few reasons your diverter valve may not be fully diverting. Blockages from mineral buildup are common, but if your diverter is older, it may be suffering from normal wear and tear. Components can wear down or crack. In some cases, the cartridge may be defective, and you’ll need to replace it.

It’s possible to snake minor drain clogs yourself, provided they sit within a foot or two of the drain itself, but it’s usually best to hire a professional plumber regardless. Even experienced DIYers have a high chance of accidentally pushing the clog further into the drain using a drain snake or another tool, so hiring a plumber is the ideal course of action. A professional plumber can use camera equipment to locate and identify the clog, and remove the entire blockage to fix your issue permanently.

No, a larger well pressure tank will not increase or improve water pressure on its own. The pressure control on the well pump is what determines the water pressure in your home. However, a larger tank does offer other benefits. It can hold more water, allowing you to run it for longer before the pump needs to turn on. Because the pump cycles on and off less frequently, there is less stress and wear on the well system. This can lead to a longer lifespan for the pump and tank, and you may experience fewer pump-related issues that could affect your water pressure in the long run.

If you want to increase your water pressure, you can try one of the following solutions:

• Adjust the tank’s pressure settings to a higher PSI (pounds per square inch).

• Replace your current pump with one that has a higher flow rate (GPM).

• Install a water pressure booster pump in your plumbing system.

• For pressure fluctuations, consider replacing your current setup with a constant pressure system.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a leaky faucet that’s dripping at a rate of one drip per second can waste more than 3,000 gallons of water per year. This is one reason why it’s important to fix a leaky faucet sooner rather than later.

A gurgling toilet usually doesn’t mean that your septic tank is full. If waste can’t drain into a full septic tank, you’ll see water and sewage backing up into your fixtures, but the air that causes gurgling is a result of poor venting. You are more likely to have a clog in your vent stack or a damaged air admittance valve.
