There are a multitude of causes for low water pressure in outdoor spigots. Normally, the water just gushes right out of them, but a soft trickle happens if the spigot itself is old or damaged. To measure pipe size, you can use a ruler, a soft tape measure, or a caliper. You can find a special pipe caliper that has iron or copper pipe sizes already marked. Rulers work if the end of the pipe is exposed. If your pipe is still attached to the plumbing, you’ll need to go for a soft tape measure or caliper.

Plumber schedules can vary. Many plumbing companies follow a traditional five-day work week, and schedule plumbers so that someone is available during working hours. However, some plumbers choose a four-day work week and take a day off, usually Friday. In these cases, Friday work counts as weekend work and will incur the same extra charges.
