I thought they did a real good job. It does not smell or anything. If it was tall enough it looks like a room you could be in to live in, but it is our crawl space. They are really good. We get an annual checkup and their services are kind of expensive, but my husband checks every time it rains and now the water does not sit underneath the house or mess up our foundation. We got a military discount and they check the humidifier to make sure it is doing what it is supposed to do for about $99.

"I feel so fortunate to have made contact with Daniel Loving of "That Guy" on Angie's List. He is very knowledgeable and professional and did a great job pressure washing and staining my deck. I was very impressed with his attention to detail and his work ethic. He called to confirm each appointment and let me know exactly when he would arrive. When deciding on a day to stain my deck he had looked ahead at the weather forecast to offer options when it likely wouldn't rain. He even noticed other issues with my house and offered to help me with them. On the day he arrived to stain the deck, I embarrassingly realized I had totally forgotten to buy stain. Daniel took it all in stride and drove to Home Depot (not a quick trip) and bought stain and still finished the job that day. The deal I bought on Angie's list was for one coat of stain, but he provided a second coat for a very reasonable price. He had a helper with him that day and he was also very hard working, respectful and professional. More importantly "That Guy" is a super nice and friendly guy. My neighbors even commented that they liked that he smiled and waved when they were out in their yard and he drove by. My dogs even thought he was the greatest! I would highly recommend Daniel Loving and "That Guy.""

"Can't sing their praises loud enough. Be patient and wait for him, he is busy because he is good and the best price you will find out there (I know, I looked at 10 contractors) but when he starts on your job it goes lightning fast and is done in record time. Marty and his team work 7 days a week (they really do) and in all types of weather. This job at the very least would take a month, he did it all in two weeks and it was superbly done. They are fantastic and Marty is the nicest person you can ever wish to work with.
Here is my story. Like many of the reviews on this site I was frustrated that he could not start as quickly as I wanted him to so I got JC Concrete in (also highly rated on Angie's List) and it was a disaster -  they dug the footers in the wrong place in spite of the fact that a surveyor had pegged it out for them. That was 6 weeks and thousands of dollars later - we finally had to get a lawyer to evict them. Feeling very desperate and not knowing who to trust we called Marty at Affordable Concrete and he literally took over the very next day. They fixed the mess by filling, compacting and re-digging the footers, re-doing all the steel and in three days they were already pouring concrete for the footers. Four days later a 1,500 cinderblock basement wall was already built, reinforced and concrete was pouring in. After plumbing was in place the slab only took 3 more days. Phenomenal and fantastic quality. The building inspectors, and contractors I dealt with could not believe the quality and the price. You will NOT get it cheaper and certainly not any better anywhere else.
Here is the best part of my story. Marty knew that we had been ripped off by the useless guy in the first attempt so he not only fixed it all for the same price but he actually came in a lot under his original price saving us the amount we lost. That is the type of guy he is.
Marty has a saying "Don't let them steal your sunshine" he made the sun shine for us again. You would be crazy to look for anyone else - best price, best quality and a really nice guy - that is rare to find in a contractor.

"Daniel Martin provided service for three large projects. He was always on time, he didn't exceed the agreed upon cost and the project completion was above and beyond what we even expected. We had tried other contractors before working with Daniel-he outperformed, hands down!"

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

Concrete leveling is absolutely worth it if you have sunken concrete slabs and want to restore them to level, especially if the slab is part of your home foundation. Concrete leveling is less than half the price of replacing concrete sidewalks, patios, walkways, and pool decks, and it’s about a quarter of the cost of replacing a foundation. If you also treat the underlying problem, it can be a worthwhile and permanent solution.

Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance. In some cases where the shifting concrete is caused by a natural disaster or storm, you may be able to file an insurance claim if your policy specifically covers those circumstances. In most cases, though, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for concrete leveling.
