"The owner returned my call promptly. We set up a time for him to come out and look at my problem. After looking at my septic issue, he recommended adding additional field line to correct the previous system installed. He finished a job earlier than he expected and told me he would get started. He completed the project and cleaned the area. I would recommend using Steve if you have any septic issues"

"We have used A Royal Flush multiple times for all of our plumbing needs. This company has outstanding customer service! They always go above and beyond the call of duty. The most important things to us is that you get that home-town special customer service. The employees are so friendly and not only do they start the job, but they finish to our expectations and beyond. We have always felt that we received the best price for the job and would not even consider using another plumbing company!"

"Repeat customers! Last week we had Andy and Brian over to install a tankless water heater and a filtration system. Our water heater exploded and we were so happy with the septic service they did, we brought them back. Now today they are here replacing ALL the pipes under our house. We couldn't be happier with their approach, honesty and hard work ethic. Next up will be two bathroom remodels. Andy and Brian are basically family now!"

"The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. I'm considering not renewing my contract with them because of the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the providers they send."

Septic Tanks questions, answered by experts

Getting well water tested costs $100 to $350 if done by a pro. You can also buy DIY test kits for $20 to $100, but professional tests are more reliable. You can get a comprehensive well inspection, which includes advanced water testing, for $700 to $750, which you should do yearly anyway.

Yes. A metal detector is one of the quickest and easiest ways to find your septic tank. However, metal detectors can be too expensive (costing upward of $300 in some cases), and not everyone has a metal detector just lying around. If that’s the case for you, you can also take a long metal rod and poke it into the ground at regular intervals until you hit something—likely your septic tank lid.

You can find your septic tank using a few different methods. For one, you can check your property records at your local municipal office. You can also inspect your yard looking for a depression, a septic tank lid, or lush septic-area vegetation which would indicate a leach field. You can also follow your pipes from the home to the yard. If you can't find your septic tank on your own, a local septic pro can help.

The cost of sump pump installation varies depending on factors like the type of sump pump, labor rates, and the complexity of the installation. On average, you can expect to pay around $1,200 for a standard sump pump install. However, the cost may be higher if additional features like a backup system or extensive drainage work are required.

How do you set your well’s pressure tank? All you need to do is first drain the tank of water and find the pressure switch. Remove the switch cover and adjust the switch with a wrench—clockwise to increase water pressure, and counter-clockwise to reduce it. Each complete turn of the nut on the switch should equal 2.5 psi. Once this is done, replace the switch cover. All that’s left is to adjust the pressure of the tank itself using an air compressor and a tire gauge to support the new setting.
