"The salesperson was wonderful.  The crew was great, I would have given an A except for two things...We were told the wooden blinds we had hanging in our old windows would fit in the new window.  They would have if the crew would have moved the window back towards the outside.  They scooted the window more inside so it no longer had the ledge, which left extra room on the ledge outside, and no room to hang the blind on the inside ledge.  They also left alot of saw dust that I had to clean up.  Outside of that the windows are great, the service was good, and we have now have no drafts!

"We called Southern Grace Exteriors to inspect the roof of a rental property we own in Hilton Head, SC. Our management company said we needed a new roof .... and that they could do it quickly for a HUGE price. We decided to get a second opinion and called Southern Grace. They showed up on time, climbed up on the roof with me and told us that our roof was just fine - probably had 10 more years left. They also said that whoever told us we needed a new roof didn't know what they were talking about. Honest and straight forward - a refreshing change to the norm for many contractors.

"The salesman Howard listened to our need carefully. Instead of selling us an expensive window, he suggested something much more affordable. The install crew encountered some problems, but they took the time and did beautiful work."

Small jobs welcome

"Tammy, Rueben and the whole crew have been amazing! I had a flood in my home back in May which left me heartbroken. Dimension Drywall replaced all my sheetrock, painted the whole 1200 square ft. basement, did the trim and baseboards. They finished the whole job less than a week, cleaned everything up very nice, and even moved my furniture for me. I could not be more pleased with their work and their pricing is very competitive. I highly recommend this crew, and will refer them to friends and family. I love the finished product and so thankful to have found them!! Thank you guys. I'm truly grateful!"

Hurricane Film FAQs, answered by experts

Hail damage on a tile roof looks like chips, cracks, and dents. Some roof tiles may break off entirely in harsh hailstorms. Hail can cause tile shingles to shift and loosen, leading to less protection from water and the elements. Loose tiles can also pose a safety risk to people, pets, and property below.

Yes, most standard policies include storm damage repairs. Your policy may cover some or all of the repairs. The first thing to do after a storm is contact your home insurance agent. If you get any work done before the adjuster arrives, such as covering holes in your roof or windows, keep those receipts for reimbursement.

Roofing replacements and repairs expose the interior of your home to the elements. Failing to protect these areas during inclement weather can cause extensive damage and job delays. Have a conversation with your pro to learn their plans to use tarps, plastic sheeting, or other waterproofing methods to keep your home safe. Also, ask whether your pro will inspect your home during rain or snow to ensure the covering works.

A hurricane can take down a house, but most well-built modern homes can withstand an average hurricane. Houses are more likely to fail during strong hurricanes and if they’re older, poorly built, or already have structural problems. Strong winds can blow off weak points like the roof and windows, giving the hurricane winds an opening to do more damage. Walls may also collapse under the force of high winds and pressure.

Hail is unlikely to damage a tar and gravel roof because the hailstones will hit the protective gravel rather than your delicate roof membrane. A tar and gravel roof is the most resilient flat roof option, which means it’s the best one for areas that see hail, fallen tree debris, and blown debris from intense winds.
