Paid $330 to install chimney cover (not in project choices) Fell off 6-7 months later. They would not stand by their work then ignored me totally Made BBB compliant. They offered to install new one for $125 plus fuel, asked me to remove complaint w no work done, then refused again and ignored totally again. Cover totally blew off house later could have hurt or killed someone. Been catching and releasing live birds in house since, now 5 dead birds and fly infestation. Company seemed once good, would totally avoid now

He came to repair our chimney after storm damage. Did a great job!! He also repaired damage on my front steps. I would definitely call him again. Very satisfied!!

He explained how to turn on the gas starter and when to turn it off. He explained about the thing in the chimney that needed to be open when I started a fire . He showed me wood placement. Also some small air vents on the upper side that could be opened or closed to make fire burn better. He was a very nice and knowledgeable person. I would call him again.

He gave me a quote on tuckpointing and in the description mentioned denote mortar but did not discuss what this actually meant. I came home to a 1900s original brick fireplace covered in white mortar. So devastating!

PROS: They called to confirm appointment. showed up on time, presented estimate in a timely manner, followed up on estimate with me. Very professional, very knowledgeable. Completed all work and cleaned up area in a timely manner. Returned to the job a few days later as stated they would to finish up the painting. Would recommend them. CONS: Having their children on a job site generally is a bad idea.

I'm very happy that I hired Mr. Kobel. He responded to my request for an inspection very quickly (same day!) and clearly explained what was wrong with my fireplace. He ordered in the parts needed to address the issue, and completed the work on a second visit out. His prices were excellent compared to the other chimney/fireplace repair services I'd inquired at before hiring. He went above and beyond and offered to touch up the paint in the area he was working while he was on the roof! I would definitely hire this company again.

Excellent prompt and very reasonably priced. Flues Brothers took me for $189 just to come out and then wanted twice the amount to fix the problem. Kobel is the guy to see.
