"Had c&g pluming come out and give me an estimate on installing a new sink and faucet as well as a toilet and look at a few things I had concerns about and they quoted me a good price and I let them start the work and Iâ m amazed with how well everything turned out and how professional and knowledgeable there plumbers are. They were very polite and respectful. I highly recommend C&G Plumbing"

"Project took six days for crew of two. They worked all day, not even taking a lunch break The walk in tub required the removal and replacement of door frame and part of door cripplers to make it wide enough for the new tub. They did a lot of the field fabrication in my garage and they left the garage cleaner than it was when they arrived. The project cost a little over $26,000, and of course I also had another contractor install a tankless water heater so we could use the walk in tub, I have another less complicated bathroom to remodel and I will be asking Top Tier to provide a quote."

"lst off the guys broke the sprayer on the end of my hose when they were mixing concrete I guess. It was old, but they did not mention the breakage. The work that was accomplished look good! If it keeps the water out of the basement, then they are rated at a 5. Have to wait and see. It is truly hard to evaluate the job except on appearance. They just finished the job a couple of hours ago."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

The extreme temperature shifts in MO create significant freeze risks for exterior pipes and lines in unconditioned spaces. High summer humidity accelerates corrosion on exposed cold water lines. Heavy seasonal rainfall shifts the clay-heavy soil, placing intense stress on buried sewer systems. Schedule your plumbing projects for late summer or fall to avoid long wait times during the busy spring thaw and storm season.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Saint Robert frequently overlook local permit rules and inspection timelines. Upgrading fixtures or water heaters requires a permit, and scheduling the mandatory inspection adds days to your timeline. Hard water in the area creates heavy mineral scale inside existing pipes, restricting flow for new fixtures. Always account for the extensive concrete cutting required to reach pipes under slab foundations during major plumbing renovations.

Helpful?

Confirm all permit requirements with local authorities before starting any plumbing work. Verify that your chosen contractor holds a valid state license to protect your home. Identify whether your MO home sits on a slab, crawl space, or basement to ensure an accurate project scope. Request your property’s permit history to uncover any unpermitted past work, and coordinate early with the city for main water shutoffs.

Helpful?

A passed final inspection on record is the definitive proof of correct plumbing work in Saint Robert. Exterior supply lines must sit at least eighteen inches below ground to survive the local frost depth. Inspect all new joints and shutoff valves for absolute dryness with no mineral deposits. Proper drain lines show a deliberate, consistent slope rather than sitting perfectly level in your basement or crawl space.

Helpful?

Your property foundation and age directly affect plumbing upgrades in Saint Robert. Homes built on concrete slabs require concrete cutting to reroute drain lines. Older military tract housing contains aging galvanized or polybutylene pipes that demand full replacement rather than spot repairs. Check your property grading, as hillside lots require specific sewer line slopes or ejector pumps. A licensed professional will assess these structural factors before starting work.
