"My hot tub was smoking! I went on line to search for a repair man. I found Sierra and based on the testimonials chose them for my repair needs. I placed a call that was promptly returned. Ron took the time to hear the issues and expressed concern even empathy that this could be a major repair. We set up an appointment and he was there when he said he would be. Ron walked me through the issues and options and answered extensive questions.. I also needed a hot tub cover so took the measurements and ordered in for me. As soon as the new motor and blower came in (yeah, I had a big problem) he called and completed the repair. I could not have asked for a better experience. The old adage that you get what you pay.... when Ron leaves you know that you paid for a repair that was done right and you were treated with utmost respect. Ron is a professional who still puts the customer in customer service. Not only do I have a hot tub that is like new, I have the confidence that it is fixed correctly and if there is an issue he will make it right. That is a good feeling and not one that is common in today's business world. I highly recommend Sierra Pool and Spa. If I need repair services again for either the hot tub or pool, I would not hesitate to contact Sierra."

Small jobs welcome

"Joe Vincent of Vincent Construction was able to design an attached garage/shop with underground storm cellar, master bdrm, bathroom, closet, and hallway with all the features that were asked for. Changes were made here and there during construction, but Joe was very flexible and adapted those requests. Joe and the young man who works for him, Tim, are both very friendly and easy to get along with. If a change in design, or last minute idea was thrown in, they were more than willing to restructure the original plans to work it in. I would definitely recommend Vincent Construction and will keep them in mind for future construction projects."

"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.
