"These guys are smart, experienced, very knowledgeable in their field. They work hard, fast and do not sacrifice quality. I worked In structural concrete construction for more than 40 years and I can tell you that these folks know their work and have great work ethic. I highly recommend them. I am looking to them for another upcoming project (siding). I am happy with the cost of the project, certainly competitive. Devin is as advertised-he comes across as a man that does what he says he is going to do."

"Told me a price which was fair and stuck to that price . He had the job done within one week. He did a front sidewalk and a concrete pad in front of garage. He brought in gravel. But before he did those things he graded the road so the slope to the garage was not so steep. We had 2 other guys work on the slope and we were not satisfied but he fixed it. Loved his work!"

Small jobs welcome

"Don has all the expertise and equipment to do the job you are looking for with regard to excavation and paving like I needed. Very professional and determined to do the job you are hoping for. He set up and did gravel paving for a driveway leading up to a gravel pad for a manufactured building I was having brought in. Used his dump truck to haul the gravel, bobcat to lightly excavate and spread, and brought his roller to compact and level everything out. The highlight was his candor and willingness to adjusting the job through my input along the way. By the end the gravel appeared and functioned more like concrete due to the tools and knowledge that he brings. Glad to have him in the area."

"Steve Sredl owner of Sealco Asphalt Co and his crew did a fantastic job. Sealco prepped the areas where the work was to be done by removing flowers pots, downspouts concrete splash blocks, and vacuumed off all loose debris. They filled all cracks with a quality base material, then sealed with driveway and circular drive with a quality durable coating designed to last the entire year. The seal material used will with stand all weather elements and heavy traffic areas were well address. i highly recommend Sealco Asphalt Co. for great professional, quality, and customer service. Thank you Sealco!!!"

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

In most cases, driveway repair is worth the investment. Your driveway is one of the first things people see when they look at your home, so repairing cracks, chips, and potholes can improve your home’s curb appeal and overall value. Repairing your driveway is also almost always more affordable than replacing it entirely—an average of $1,765 compared to the cost of replacing a driveway, which typically costs around $5,000.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where you store it. If you can keep it in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, if the machine will be stored in freezing temperatures, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage. To prevent this, add antifreeze to keep it in good condition. While some suggest emptying the machine with compressed air, this can be a tedious process that may not fully drain the liquid. Regardless of storage conditions, it is also good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before winter storage.

The time it takes to pressure wash your driveway is mainly based on size (but your driveway’s material and condition also play a role). Small driveways can be pressure washed within an hour, medium within two hours, and large within four hours. However, this does not consider any prep time or time that sealing your driveway would take.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.
