"Cleaned and inspected chimney . They are coming back for repairs. They are professional and have good communication. The only reason I'm giving them 4 and 1/2 stars is because I haven't seen the repair work yet. So far they are a good company to work with."

"He was on time and pleasant. He shined flashlight up chimney and said it was clean. And would save me $25 as cost only $75 for coming out. Seemed a good deal for him as did nothing."

"The gentleman on the phone and the technician were both very professional and responsive. They called back prior to my appointment to verify the equipment to insure they were prepared on the day of the visit. The technician was quick, professional, and the final bill was less than the original estimate."

"Purchased and older home. They came out to do chimney clean/inspect and HVAC duct cleaning. They answered every question and explained every step of the process. Had a drone that proved pictures of the outside of the chimney. We were so impressed with their professionalism and quality of their estimates that we have made an appointment for the repair of the chimney. Great company and staff to work with."

"Doug performed the work himself and was very professional and courteous. He looked at a couple the issues that were present and concluded that other remedies were necessary. Overall, fine job.

"Jim and the team were one of the only companies who actually showed up to bid, got back to use quickly and subsequently came to do the work. We had them repoint a number of areas around our home as well as sure up the footing on our brick entryway which was the main point of concern. While here they noticed the concrete cap on our chimney needed replacing and we went ahead and had them do that too. 90% of the work performed has been great, but we are 12 months on now from the initial work and the entryway continues to shift and overall break the repointing work Jim's team did. To their credit, they've been back out twice to repoint again, the first time after 6 weeks when it broke, then the work lasted about 4 months until it broke again. They didn't come back out again until several months after that and this last repair unfortunately didn't last more than a week. The repointing itself was great, it matched the color of grout on our historic home fairly well. The issue and reason for the lower star rating is that unfortunately whatever foundation work may have been done by the team did not resolve the foundation problems the entryway has and we are back on the hunt for a new company who can actually help us fix our problem."

"Ron gave me an estimate for work to convert my screened deck into a 3 season room. I needed siding hung, trim work around the openings for the window openings and additional support under the deck, along with modifications to the deck railing. Ron's crew showed up on time and got right to work. He made sure that all of the issues that I needed to be addressed were done. The crew was polite and good to work with. After each day of work, they cleaned up the work area and removed all of the scrap materials. I am very happy with the work, the price. I would recommend definitely recommend them.

Chimney caps may be installed by a few different professionals, including a chimney sweep or a mason that specializes in fireplaces and chimneys. A gas fireplace technician is the best person to install a chimney cap on a gas log fireplace vent to be sure the cap is appropriate for the application.
A chimney cap costs about $300 on average. The prices range from about $75 to $1,000, depending on the material, size, any repairs needed, and if your chimney cap requires custom fabrication. Chimney caps are usually made from galvanized steel, copper, or stainless steel. Additional costs may include hiring a chimney sweep to clean the chimney before a cap is installed.
Yes, it’s worth capping a chimney. Here are several reasons to install a chimney cap:
Keep out rain, snow, wildlife, and other debris
Help prevent chimney fires
Reduce your chimney’s exposure to moisture
Maintain your chimney flue liner
Help reduce energy bills by helping regulate your home’s temperature
Typically, a chimney cap will last from three to 25 years. This wide range is due to variables like climate, the material the cap is made from, and how often you use your fireplace. Regular inspections and maintenance can help extend the life of your chimney cap.
The best style of chimney cap for a brick chimney is one that fits tightly around the brick top of the chimney. The cap should have a screen to fully enclose it to keep animals out. The best materials include stainless steel, copper, or aluminum that fit tightly or are custom fabricated for a perfect fit on your chimney.
