"They painted my entire basement. Bill is good at communicating and responds quickly to phone calls. They did a meticulous job painting my basement, including painting trim, shelves, window trim, doors, and walls. We were very happy with their work and would definitely hire again."

"Overall, Rebath people are pleasant to work with. Brendan was a top notch craftsman, 'BJ' in office stayed in touch as work progressed. there were some problems with ordering product, receiving wrong product, miscommunication in scheduling, which delayed completion of job beyond our expectations. However job was completed to our satisfaction at last, and quality of product and of work are good.

"Black Diamond was very responsive to my request and to provide an estimate. They are very patient with me and my lack of understanding of what all it takes to repair certain things. When the work is done, the repair has made the area where the work was done better than it was at first. Recommend highly"

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can tile over existing shower tiles, but it's better to remove the old tiles first for the best results. Tiling over existing tiles requires a clean, level surface and proper adhesion. If the old tiles are in good condition, you can roughen the surface to improve adhesion. However, removing the old tiles ensures a smoother, longer-lasting finish and prevents potential issues down the line.

Different types of tile cutters may work best depending on the type of tile you are cutting and the size of your project. There are two main types of tile cutters: manual and electric. Manual tile cutters are quick and easy to use for small projects and softer tile materials, but they can only make straight cuts. Electric tile cutters make light work of big projects and can cut through harder materials.

Installations typically take 1-3 days, depending on area size; repairs are usually completed sooner if the issue is localized.

Deciding between using a shower pan or tile will likely come down to the shower’s design. You can learn how to install a shower pan liner, but it has a standard look similar to most other showers, though there is some flexibility for material and color choices. Tile, on the other hand, can be customized and is set directly into the shower base. However, a shower tile floor is more difficult to install than a shower pan.

Installing kitchen countertop tiles on a mold and moisture-resistant cement backer board is one of the best options. When fitted correctly on top of a plywood base, it’s stable and long-lasting. Old-fashioned cement board is economical, cuts neatly and easily with a circular or jigsaw, and screws into plywood without any difficulty.
