"Very professional and knowledgeable about tile and grout services. Always on time for appointments. Provided suggestions and solutions to meet our needs. We had about 700 sq. ft. of tile and grout cleaned and color sealed. The end product is beautiful. We will us them for all our tile and grout needs and try out their carpet cleaning services in the future."

"Dan and his team were excellent. They were very communicative and had good ideas for various floors. The tile and new wood staining came out great. I would definitely use them again. Dan was sure to make sure everything came out right - even redid a good portion of the stain when we thought they might be finished. He definitely expects the absolute best."

"Mark did a great job responding to questions and a request for a quote. We had one minor issue with one of the tiles, but his tech was back the next day to remedy the issue, no questions asked. In addition, while he didn't include the cost of putting down carpet in a closet, his guys used a remnant and installed it, again no questions asked. The 'B' for punctuality was a minor thing; one of his guys showed up several hours later than we expected, but it didn't negatively impact the project. Mark was quick to respond to calls and to travel to our home for a quote; exemplary service. Overall, we are thrilled with the products he sold us as well as the quality of the installation work. We definitely recommend him, and we will likely use him again in the future."

"Such a great company With excellent customer service. The installers that came were incredibly professional and nice. They provided me with the knowledge and constant status reports when my job cannot be completed in one day. There is an issue where something was missed measured and the installers had to come back out. I did not mind due to the fact that they maintain open communication the entire time"

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

When choosing tiles for a shower floor, avoid highly porous tile materials, like those with a water absorption rating over 7%. Don’t use non-vitreous tiles, or tiles fired at low temperatures, because they will absorb more water. If you use a highly porous tile in the shower, the tiles can wear down faster, meaning they’ll need to be replaced much sooner.

The best types of tiles for a shower are ceramic and porcelain tiles. These materials are durable, water-resistant, and easy to maintain, making them ideal for wet environments. Porcelain tiles are slightly more durable than ceramic. Both options come in a wide variety of styles, so you can achieve the perfect look for your bathroom.

The lifespan of tile flooring can vary significantly based on the material and maintenance. Generally, tile flooring can last anywhere from 10 to 30 years, but high-quality, well-maintained ceramic tile can last 75 to 100 years. To achieve a longer lifespan, you should clean the tiles and grout regularly, reseal the grout annually, keep the floor dry, and avoid placing extremely heavy items on it to prevent cracking. Choosing a high-quality tile (Grade 1) will also contribute to its longevity.

When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.

You can lay tile directly on a plywood countertop, but if it’s a high-traffic surface in a kitchen, it’s better to add a moisture-resistant base. Plywood is susceptible to moisture, so if dampness seeps through from the surface around the sink or where you prep food, it can cause the plywood to warp, leading to grout damage, cracked tiles, or mold growth under the surface.
