"I cannot say enough good things about this company! They were everything an outstanding company should be - great communication, prompt, friendly, did an excellent job trimming our huge silver maple, and above-and-beyond on clean-up afterwards. Jose and his crew trimmed our silver maple which grows very near our house and next to our privacy fence. They cut off two large branches (2.5 ft in diameter), both which went over our rooftop. They did an exemplary job and without any damage to our roof, house, fence, and patio. If you are looking for tree service, I am confident you will not find a better company! We will definitely use 5hem again!"

"Taft was very responsive and professional. He and the team did a fantastic job not only removing a dead tree, trimming others, and brush cleanup. They were fast and priced well. Would definitely use Clark Tree Service again and recommend to others."

"The Owner, Blake, is the person who answered the phone, listened to my needs and then arranged for an appointment to come out and look at what we wanted done. He was very honest, he listened and he made suggestions of what needed to be done. His personality is genuine and just a good person and a gem that you don't find too often anymore. And with his military background, you can expect clean, clean, and neat work and you would never know he was there. Very punctual and communicated with us on his arrival times and was very prompt and his team is A+ - all of the team was equally professional, courteous and respectful. I hired Blake because of the reviews that I read and I could not have been better pleased. If you are reading this review and need tree work done, I hope you call Blake after reading this and schedule him to come out. I guarantee you will make a friend with Blake and have a professional job well done. I have worked with many contractors and tree removal places thru the years and Blake and his team are just the best. His prices are spot on, but even beyond that, you don't hire just because of price, you hire because of the quality and trust that you form when you talk with him and see the work he has done and what he can do for you. Thank you Blake and team for a job well done. And whenever we need more work done, you are on speed dial."

"I've had Zach's tree service or Hill tree service doing work for me for the past 10 years it started out with a lady that I was taking care of he did a lot of work at her house in Liberty, then he & his Crew came took down four trees at different times at my house in Parkville. I have referred him to several people and they've always been very happy with Zach's work and his crew they always leaves everything clean and picked up and they're just well mannered people. I'd hire them again if I hadn't move to Arkansas"

"

Was a slight delay because of bad weather but very prompt as soon as the weather permitted. I felt it was a little pricey but they

did quality work for their money. Owners and workers were professional and courteous. Would use them again if needed.

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Deciduous shade trees (the type of trees whose leaves fall off in autumn) need to be pruned in late winter—between February and March. That’s because it’s easier to find and remove sick or dead branches when no leaves are present. And wounds close and heal faster in colder temperatures so pruning them at this time also makes them less prone to infection.

You need to remove all branches affected by Dutch elm disease. If your tree has several affected branches, you will probably need to remove the entire tree. First, consult a pro to be sure that you’ve correctly identified it as an elm tree. Make sure the tree is properly disposed of with a plastic covering or through debarking, chipping, or burning.

Light-bark trees are most notorious for producing lots of sap when wounded. These varieties include maples, birches, poplars, dogwoods, magnolias, and elms, and they will bleed more when the trees are dormant. That’s why it’s a good idea to prune them in the summer months rather than waiting until winter.

The speed of your tree root removal process depends on a few different factors, including the size and type of tree. However, the fastest method of killing tree roots is applying chemical herbicide, which starts working quickly and efficiently. But this removal method has its drawbacks, such as having a negative effect on the surrounding vegetation and landscaping. Other options like rock salt and stump grinding work relatively quickly and cause less damage to your yard.

You may be looking to identify maple trees to use for home improvement projects. In that case, you can tell hard maples by looking at their leaves. Leaves will have a U-shaped dip, or sinus, between the points, or lobes, of the leaves. Leaves of soft maples tend to have V-shaped sinuses.

If you already have the cut wood in front of you, look for a light, uniform color to identify hard maple wood and check for variations of red, gray, or brown streaks and an overall darker color in soft maple wood.
