We were very happy with the crew from Cartwright Tree Care. They were professional, quick and thorough. We had two very old, large trees which have never been trimmed. They swooped through those trees in no time and cleaned up all the dead and broken branches. Trees look awesome now. Cleanup was amazing. We felt their bid was very reasonable. Felt secure with them as they are fully insured. At some point in 5 - 10 yrs, one of the trees will probably have to be taken down. Will absolutely call them again. They cover the whole Kansas City area which was great for us as we live all the way up in Smithville. Glad we found them. Highly recommend.

Cartwright Tree Care did an amazing job removing two trees in my backyard. One was growing up over our house, and they were able to get it all down with no damage. Their employees worked super fast, they left no damage to our yard, and they cleaned up after themselves when they were done. I am so happy with the work they did and can't wait for them to come remove some other trees that are unwanted. Will definitely use and recommend to all!

Cartwright was friendly on the phone and we scheduled a time for them to come out. Matt showed up right on time and was very nice, friendly and most importantly, knowledgeable about the trees. We had a good discussion and he suggested we have another company come out first so a certified arborist could look at the trees to find out what was causing them such issues. He explained that they are working on getting a certified arborist on staff, but until they do they have another company they work closely with and he would get them to come out and take a look so we would know exactly what we are dealing with. Sure enough, he got the other company out and our trees were diagnosed. We worked with the other company (Tree Doctor) to treat the treatable tree. He said he would share his findings with Cartwright so they could get me an estimate to take care of the rest of the trees. So far, so good. I was happy to this point because I knew that the time-frame of taking care of the trees without damaging them was a short one - something Matt from Cartwright had also told me. This was when the frustration began, however. I did not hear anything back from Cartwright, so I called and left a message. After a week, I got a return message from Matt. I called him back and left a message with all the details from the Tree Doctor and asked him to get me a bid as soon as possible. Another week went by and I started to look for another company. Then I got a call from Matt and he wanted to come out again to look at the trees. We set up a meeting and he did come back and we talked again about all the trees and I told him again what the Tree Doctor had said. This was four week after his first visit. He told me he would have a bid emailed to me that evening. That was almost two weeks ago and again I have not heard anything. I guess they don't really need my business? So, I have contacted three other tree companies since then and received immediate bids from all of them. I have now contracted with another tree company for the work I need done. My experience with Cartwright was just a waste of my time.

The crew was there at 8 AM as promised with excellent equipment that the crew were experts at operating. They worked safely and rapidly, working the entire day and making our property look well-kept again. The crew was friendly and respected our property as if it was their own. When they were done, the foreman wanted me to inspect their work and I found it without flaw. I can recommend this company without any reservations. Money well-spent.

They should at least give me a projected date

They did a good job removing the tree, it was a tough location. The crew knocked down a portion of my rickety fence to gain access to the tree. If they had called we would have opened the gate my wife had to run an errand. The problem I had was they left the job site with a gaping hole in my fence and I have a swimming pool, leaving me liable in the event of an accidental drowning. I called the salesman and he agreed they should have secured the site with temporary fence. The tree removal was fine, the price was fair but I would keep a very close eye on them.

They showed up on time and work all day trimming tree and removing trees and stump grinding. They cleaned up all branches and all of workers were very courteous and act professional. We recommend them to all of our friends and family.

Absolutely LOVE this company! They came out and gave us the estimate right there on the spot and I was shocked at how inexpensive it was going to be. Their prices are extremely reasonable! It took them no time to get us on their schedule and come out and do the work. I wasn't home when they were here but my neighbor said he watched the whole thing and he was very impressed with how quickly they worked. I came home to a brand new backyard! They did a fantastic job and we will definitely use them in the future for additional tree trimming needs!

They coordinated with KCPL to trim around the power lines, and drop the power line while they took out the lower trunk of the tree. It was a difficult situation for them to work with, but they did an excellent job of managing all of the complications we threw at them. They were always easy to get in touch with and kept us informed at all times. We would definitely call them again.

I can't sing enough praises about this group! Matt who gave me the estimate was so professional and worked right along side the crew on the day of removal. They all worked quickly and efficiently. They had all the work done in about 6 hours leaving my yard looking BETTER than it had before they did all the work! If you're looking for quality work by a hardworking crew for a fair price, then Cartwright is the best option! And I have to mention, they found my husband's tablet in some leaves outside our fence! We thought it was gone for good and they happened to find it and brought it to us!

The estimate was reasonable and professional. They did a great job. The only reason I gave them a B rather than A is because it took longer than I expected to get it done. I wasn't in a hurry and I'm sure there were more immediate jobs than mine so I didn't mind waiting a month.

On the morning of 8/7 (the day after we had some severe weather move through our neighborhood), we woke to find a Bradford Pear tree that was next to our driveway had split in half with half of it laying across our driveway.  It was a good thing we had a driveway three cars wide or we would have been stuck since the downed part was blocking 2/3's of our driveway.  I am permanently disabled and not able to do this kind of work anymore.  I went outside to take a look at the tree and heard the sound of chain saws going the street over from mine.  I no sooner turned around to go in to call someone when here came a whole caravan of trucks and equipment heading toward one of my neighbors houses.

I asked the fellow who seemed to be in charge if he would be interested in taking care of my tree.  I told him I wanted it taken completely out.  He told me he could cut it off about 5 foot off the ground and in 8 to 10 years, it would be back to almost normal.  I passed due to the history of the Bradford's.  One good wind and they split down the middle.

The tree was probably 40 feet high and all over the place.  I was figuring it would cost me at least $1,000 to $1,200 to have it completely removed and have the stump ground up.  When he said since he was in the area with the men and equipment he would do it for $575, I almost couldn't contain myself.  I was delighted.

Then on top of the price, they did an absolutely outstanding job.  It seemed like they picked up every leaf and ground the stump at least 12" to 15" deep, ensuring the Bradford wouldn't be coming back anytime soon.  I'll need to wait about 8 months for the soil to settle before we plant another tree, but that's a minimal trade-off considering our luck the day after the storm.

The service provider never showed up to examine my tree. they failed to cotact me again to explain why they never showed up.

I contacted Cartwright Tree Care to remove the deadwood from several trees on my property and trim back adjoining trees (with landlords permission) that stretch over the roof of my home. Matt Graham provided a quick estimate (on the same day I called) and followed up with me through the few desctructive storms that hit the KC area in March. The crew trimmed all trees on my property in a manner that will support their health in future years. They went above/beyond their scope by throwing limbs from storm debris into the chipper. The entire crew was very professional and Matt took the time to explain to me what they did and why and what I might need in the future. In short, an excellent team and high quality service.
