"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"As a new home owner, I am more the thrilled by the high quality of work done by Indian Summer Pool and Spa. I called Doug Fender (one of the owners), who made an immediate appointment with me to discus my plans to expand my patio, along with three other companies. Doug when through all available options, costs and expectations on the job I wanted done. Not only did he have a great team of employee's show up on time, they had everything organized from ground prep, rock deliver, concrete delivery, and temporary fencing down to the minute. I was very impressed with the owners showing up to make sure that I as a home owner was happy with each step of the process and that every employee was very efficient and knew their area of expertise. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing work done on a project you want done right. Just a note not only did the come in on budget, but the other companies I called did not have any where the game plans or explain the details of what to expect. This is a company you will be happy with."

"Preston of G-1 Plumbing performed the services and addressed the toilet & drain problem. He was unable to stop leak(made it worse) & submitted his recs to Choice Home for review. I was unable to understand Choice Home's response regarding the faucet leak. Their review stated faucet needed to be replaced BUT it was under "builder's warranty." I built this home in 2005. There is no "builder's warranty" now. I cancelled the proposed work order & paid out-of-pocket. A Friend, who was familiar with my builder and knows faucet components, came to my home, adjusted/cleaned the faucet cartridge and stopped the leak. The CHW tech, Preston, is conscientiuos, however, IMHO lacked the knowledge & experience to stop my leak. Home Warranty Companies, at least in my area, hire owner/operators who need the work to build their business and are NOT the most experienced/knowledgeable & are willing to work for less money. In my experience, Home Warranty Companies want the CHEAPEST resolution, not the BEST. I would recommend G-1 Plumbing for most plumbing issues."

Home Building questions, answered by experts

When planning home building in Branson, the Ozark terrain dictates much of the layout. Builders construct walkout basements and multi-level structures to follow the natural hillside. Professionals maximize views of Table Rock Lake or Lake Taneycomo by orienting decks and windows toward the water. For vacation rentals, layouts feature multiple master suites to accommodate guests. Rustic stone and timber exteriors are popular but must meet MO energy efficiency standards.

Helpful?

Encountering hard bedrock and unpredictable karst sinkholes adds significant complexity to home building in Branson. Steep slopes demand engineered retaining walls and restrict heavy equipment access on narrow roads. Waterfront lots face strict federal shoreline permits and flood zone regulations that extend project timelines. Additionally, winter freeze-thaw cycles and heavy spring rains compress the construction schedule. Irregular lot shapes and strict septic placement rules further limit the available buildable area.

Helpful?

When hiring professionals for home building in Branson, verify their local terrain experience. Contractors must understand how to navigate rock excavation and karst geology. Ensure your builder is familiar with local flood zone maps and shoreline management restrictions, especially near the lakes. Check that all specialty trades hold the proper state and local credentials. Finally, confirm they carry workers' compensation insurance to protect against the physical hazards of steep hillside construction.

Helpful?

During home building in MO, professionals closely evaluate the subsurface bedrock and soil. Experts conduct geotechnical investigations to locate deep bedrock or hidden karst sinkholes before pouring the foundation. Surveyors assess the topography and slope to plan proper drainage and structural retaining walls. On rural lots, professionals test the soil to determine septic system placement. For waterfront properties, builders strictly map out shoreline setbacks, flood elevations, and utility easements.

Helpful?

A home building project in the Branson area requires several specialized professionals. General contractors manage the entire process, focusing heavily on hillside construction. You will also hire excavation experts to handle the hard MO dolomite bedrock. Foundation specialists pour concrete for walkout basements or install helical piers. Rural properties require certified septic system installers and well drillers. Finally, masonry experts build retaining walls, and dock contractors handle waterfront additions.
