"Levite Solutions did an amazing job helping us tackle several projects around the house. We needed drywall repair, furniture assembly, and a few miscellaneous fixes that had been piling up for months. Communication was excellent from start to finish, they arrived on time, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving. What really stood out was the professionalism and attention to detail. It’s hard to find reliable handyman services that are responsive, honest, and fairly priced, but Levite Solutions exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing quality home repair or handyman work."

"She was able to get me booked really quickly. There are many place in town that will do the job for more money, and won't do as good of a job. We were debating if we should get new carpet, to sell our house, as the carpet we had was stained really bad. After Eagle Carpet Cleaning cleaned the carpet, it looked band new!"

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

As with any home project, make sure you don’t hire the first person you call about the job, at least not at first. You will want to get at least three quotes and vet pros by asking for references, reading online reviews, and finding out what types of furniture upholstery they deal with the most often.

If you’re renting a steam cleaner, the right cleaning products to use on carpet are cleaning solutions designed specifically for steam cleaners and carpeting. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure you’re using the appropriate product. For everyday cleaning and deodorizing, white vinegar and baking soda are two natural but effective products to use; for urine and other biological messes, opt for an enzymatic cleaner. Avoid harsh cleaners like bleach or dish soap, which can damage carpet fibers or leave behind stubborn residue.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

Yes. Steam cleaning is one of the most effective ways to clean a mattress because the heat from the steam can kill dust mites and bed bugs. Using steam that is at least 212 degrees F can also disinfect the material.

No, it works best under synthetic carpets in high-traffic or moisture-prone areas. Avoid using moisture barrier padding under natural fiber carpets like wool, which need air circulation. The barrier can trap the moisture against natural fibers and cause problems. Also, you can skip it in low-risk areas like upstairs guest bedrooms, where the extra protection often isn't worth the added cost.
