"The work we needed required extensive remodeling and carpentry knowledge. The structural improvements, siding, window and door replacement were expertly completed above and beyond what was expected. They have fantastic subconsultants for any additional items that need to be completed as well. I would highly recommend C & G Development, LLC now and for years to come because they are a multiple generational company."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"As a new home owner, I am more the thrilled by the high quality of work done by Indian Summer Pool and Spa. I called Doug Fender (one of the owners), who made an immediate appointment with me to discus my plans to expand my patio, along with three other companies. Doug when through all available options, costs and expectations on the job I wanted done. Not only did he have a great team of employee's show up on time, they had everything organized from ground prep, rock deliver, concrete delivery, and temporary fencing down to the minute. I was very impressed with the owners showing up to make sure that I as a home owner was happy with each step of the process and that every employee was very efficient and knew their area of expertise. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing work done on a project you want done right. Just a note not only did the come in on budget, but the other companies I called did not have any where the game plans or explain the details of what to expect. This is a company you will be happy with."

"It has been a pleasure to do business with Ahmed construction. They provide very fair price on bidding. The administrative project manager Mr Albert is a hard working guy. Him along with the Mr Judy did the decking and replaced some studs on an addition remodel project. I highly recommend Ahmed construction and I will hire them again for any future project"

Home Building questions, answered by experts

Local inspectors closely evaluate multiple critical stages during home building. They scrutinize foundation footings to ensure they reach below the MO frost line and handle the rocky clay soil. Inspectors also examine structural framing, checking anchor bolts and hurricane ties for tornado resistance. Before walls close, professionals verify electrical and plumbing rough-ins. Finally, a comprehensive inspection confirms egress window safety and proper smoke detector placement throughout your Aurora property.

Helpful?

Completing permitted home building projects significantly boosts your resale appeal. Adding a proper storm shelter stands out to buyers in this tornado-prone MO region. Upgrading insulation, replacing windows, and modernizing older kitchens also provide strong returns. Always secure permits for structural work, as undocumented additions become liabilities during a sale. Consult a local appraiser to ensure your upgrades align with neighborhood values in the Aurora real estate market.

Helpful?

Build a seasonal routine to protect your home building investments from local weather extremes. In spring, inspect your foundation for cracks caused by winter frost heave. During the hot MO summers, assess your attic ventilation to prevent heat buildup. In fall, clean your gutters and check window weatherstripping to stop energy loss. Finally, monitor exterior pipes throughout the winter to prevent freezing during severe cold snaps in Aurora.

Helpful?

You can safely handle minor home building maintenance by reapplying exterior window caulk and replacing door weatherstripping before winter. Regrade soil away from your foundation and clean your gutters to ensure proper drainage during Aurora spring rains. Always hire a professional for electrical wiring, roof repairs, or foundation cracks wider than one-quarter inch. Relying on experts for these hazardous tasks keeps your MO property safe and structurally sound.

Helpful?

When planning home building in Aurora, account for the rocky and clay-heavy Ozark soils, which directly impact foundation design and drainage. You must extend foundation footings at least 24 to 30 inches below grade to prevent winter frost heave. Additionally, verify if your property sits in a FEMA-designated flood zone. Since MO experiences frequent tornadoes, strongly consider adding a safe room and structural storm reinforcement to your new construction.
