"We did a full remodel, a new shower along with tile flooring, a new vanity, and a toilet. We chose Bath Makeover of Arkansas because we could have one company do the entire project."

Customers say: Quality work

"Fritz Construction completely gutted and repaired my home. Floors, ceilings, all electrical, all light fixtures, removal of gas heater...too much to list. He took a flood disaster and created a beautiful home from the rubble. I am forever grateful, and he will be a friend for life. He's fair, reasonable, patient, and more importantly, knowledgeable in all fields of home building."

"My dishwasher stopped one day, dead as a doornail, and Roy was the most considerate, affordable option to come check it out. I was prepared to accept it might be wiser to buy a new one, and he, thought it brought NO profit to him, helped me determine the best solution. He was friendly, helpful, and even spent extra time helping me pick which new dishwasher to order from NFM. He installed it forme when it was delivered (and even made friends with one of my cats). I can't recommend his service enough!"

"Brandon contacted me very quickly after I started a search for a water softener company on Angie's List. He gave me two water softener options and quotes and explained the differences between the two. That made it very easy for me to decide on the quote I wanted to accept. Brandon is both professional and friendly. He communicates quickly, his pricing is fair, and he got the job done efficiently. I highly recommend Rose Plumbing, and I'll call him the next time we need plumbing services."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

Renovating just before a move is worth it in cases of severe damage or decay—or if you're actually just making home improvements to flip and sell a property. If your home is in otherwise good condition, don't burden yourself with additional tasks when you're already busy packing. And if something needs to be fixed, try to plan to do it at least a few months before your big move.

While most modern sinks, toilets, and showers last up to 20 years or more with no issues, experts suggest a bathroom remodel should take place at least once a decade. Otherwise, your bathroom might start to look dated. However, the frequency depends on a few different factors, including the quality of the original materials, how well the space has been maintained, and your personal preferences. Signs it’s time for a refresh include outdated fixtures, worn surfaces, poor functionality, or simply wanting to update the look.

Installing a walk-in bathtub can be worth it if it improves the user's safety and independence. However, because walk-in tubs require a large investment, not every homeowner has the means or desire to install one. As an alternative, some homeowners prefer to install a walk-in shower and transfer bench instead. Walk-in showers cost between $1,150 and $8,000, making them far more budget-friendly in comparison.

Undertaking a bathroom demolition might seem achievable for a DIY enthusiast, but it's a substantial endeavor that works up a sweat. Before diving into the teardown, it is essential to acknowledge the associated risks and complete the necessary preparations, including permits and a plan for waste management. From gathering the right tools to ensuring utility shut-off, these measures are vital to a successful outcome and mitigating potential pitfalls.

Start by gutting the old fixtures and features that need to be removed, such as the tile, vanity, and flooring. You may benefit by removing the toilet, even if you intend to use the same one. Next, install the new shower or tub, followed by the flooring, and then the drywall, which you should then paint. After that, install your new cabinets, vanity, countertop, sink, and faucet, in that order. Replace your light fixture next. Lastly, reconnect the toilet.
