"The people on the phone and the workers that worked at my house were fantastic. Damien and Ernest were the installer's top rate people. Jack, their license plumber was polite and funny. The only person we didn't care for was Keith He only stopped by to look at what was going on. He was a little rude to my wife and Made her feel Like she was second class in her own home. We Were very shocked by that. We would definitely recommend Jacuzzi to our friends."

"What a great experience, which is truly unusual in these times of all fluff and less service. First, the salesman, Joe Stegeman, was excellent. He was prepared, courteous, seemed to understand right away what we wanted and stepped us through the process. The fact that he could also schedule the installation right there at our dining room table surprised and impressed me. I will admit I was skeptical, and expected a phone call that would delay or reschedule. That was not the case. The plumber, I believe Ryan, showed up at 7 a.m. and was very professional. Within an hour he had roughed in the plumbing and was ready to leave. Right at that time, Joe the installer showed up in the driveway and was ready to start. He was very pleasant, professional, and made to sure put down drop cloths the entire pathway to the bathroom. (By the way, unnecessary in a household with 3 dogs who bring everything in.) He was very quick and actually had to wait for the County inspector about 45 minutes until Joe could continue with the installation. Joe was terrific. He told us what he was doing and was very accommodating with our questions. Heâ s patient with old people who are inquisitive (and I admit nervous) about whatâ s happening. When he was done, all was cleaned up and he explained everything about the care of the bathtub and materials, and the plumbing areas. Please give a shout-out or potential bonus to Joe. We thought he was great, and a wonderful employee and representative for your company. Keep him happy and around!"

"My installer John was fantastic. He did an amazing job and I am so pleased with his attention to detail and the way it all turned out. With my home being almost 100 years old nothing is plum or square. He was so caring and took his time and it came out beautifully. I am so glad John was my installer he is amazing."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

There are three main types of shower valves: pressure-balancing, thermostatic, and diverter. Pressure-balancing and thermostatic valves are both considered mixing valves because they regulate water flow and temperature, but they do so in different ways. A pressure-balancing valve senses changes in water pressure, such as from a flushing toilet, and adjusts the incoming hot and cold water to maintain a consistent temperature; these typically use a single knob. A thermostatic valve uses a thermostat to precisely control the water temperature and requires a separate control to adjust the water volume. A diverter valve directs the flow of water from one fixture to another, such as switching from a tub faucet to a showerhead in a tub-shower combination.

The cost to clean a sewer line is about $370, ranging from about $190 to $550 on average. The specific cleaning method and the problem's severity will impact the project's overall cost. Some of the most common sewer line cleaning methods include:

  • Snaking or rodding: $100–$250

  • Hydrojetting: $350–$600

  • Chemical treatments: $600–$1,000

  • Repair or replacement: $1,000–$7,500

You can remove air from your shower pipes in a few simple steps. Turn off the water at the main water supply and open all the faucets in your home, starting with those closest to the water supply and working away from those. Let the faucets run dry, then flush all the toilets in your home until there is no more water in them. From there, turn the water supply back on and let it flow for 10 to 15 minutes until the sputtering stops. To finish, turn off your faucets and flush your toilets in the reverse order.

Signs of a leaky faucet include dripping water, unusual noises, and irregular water flow coming from the faucet. Discoloration or water stains around the sink or countertop can also indicate a leak, as can higher than usual water bills and wet areas under and around the sink’s base.

PEX pipes can freeze. While they are less likely to burst than rigid pipes like copper or galvanized steel, it is still possible. PEX is flexible and can expand as water freezes and contract as it thaws. However, this expansion can cause leaks around the pipe's connections. Furthermore, frequent freezing and thawing cycles can stress and weaken the material over time, increasing the risk of a future burst. Therefore, even though PEX is freeze-resistant, it is not freeze-proof, and standard insulation precautions are still recommended to prevent freezing.
