"Had c&g pluming come out and give me an estimate on installing a new sink and faucet as well as a toilet and look at a few things I had concerns about and they quoted me a good price and I let them start the work and Iâ m amazed with how well everything turned out and how professional and knowledgeable there plumbers are. "It was a life changing service. Met with Albert on a Monday and the quote process was very smooth. I could tell right away that Albert has a passion for what he does and when you hear the back story on how he formed the company, it makes perfect sense why his work ethic is so strong. We hired Sol's and they came out that Saturday. Albert, his wife, and his daughter spent about 10 hours in our home cleaning the air ducts and 2 A/C & Furnace units. Not only were they courteous and respectful of our home, they were very friendly, dedicated, and openly communicated about their process as well as how our ducts were looking. Before they started, according to the pics taken by Albert, the ductwork upstairs look like it had a layer of snow (due to the previous owner doing drywall work while the A/C was running). It was completely spotless afterwards. And downstairs... OMG! The house we bought was built in 1939 and has probably never had the ductwork cleaned. According to the pics, it literally looked like mounds of really old blown-in insulation in an old attic. But it was in our ductwork! And they found a couple of petrified mice too hanging out in there. I suffer from allergies big time and noticed that I had trouble breathing when we moved in... And after having Sol's clean our air ducts, I can breathe easier and the home literally smells clean and sanitized, which they do sanitize the ductwork at the end of the cleaning. My wife and I are very grateful to Sol's and their attention to detail... even hand-cleaning the A/C fan blades and soaking/sanitizing the vent & return covers. We could not have made a better decision for our health and we are very honored and proud that Sol's performed the work."

"Dale is terrific. I was immediately impressed by his knowledge of my situation, and felt like I had a partner in figuring out what needed to be done. I was on borderline warranty situation so he helped me advocate for a replacement by the company (which ultimately didn't work, but that's only because Zoeller is tight on their warranty policy). Realizing I needed to replace the pump, Dale only charged for an installation and not for the diagnosis. That was helpful. He found a way to get us up and going quickly, even though he had other jobs underway. I was really pleased with the work. If you have a problem with your sewer lines, septic or any pump systems, Dale at HS Sewer & Drain is the guy to call. I have no doubts about making that recommendation."

"Froggy's called me immediately after I submitted my request on Angi. We discussed the problem I was having, and they gave me several ideas to try to get my A/C unit running properly before actually coming to take a look. I ended up taking their suggestions - cleaning the unit and blowing out the drain line - which resolved the issue. I appreciate and respect a company willing to provide a few troubleshooting/DIY tips before being eager to charge a service fee. Will definitely call in the event I need help in the future."

"Curtis called me back right away and had come for an estimate before any other company had even called me back. He was very good about communicating with me and had the work completed within one week of my call. We haven't had a huge rain since the repair work was done, but all looks good and I'm confident that the leak is patched. He also did not leave a mess at my house, which is huge in my book :) Would definitely hire again."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Cat pee has a strong ammonia-like smell, so if you smell cat pee but don’t have a cat or don’t suspect your cat has any accidents, there could be other issues at hand. Aside from pet urine, your house may smell like cat pee from leaking freon from an old fridge, mold, spilled cleaning supplies, or even outside odors from nearby farms.

With a one-way cleanout, you can access your sewer line from one direction. Depending on the way it curves, a plumber can either access the side of the pipe that goes into your home or the side that goes to your yard. On the other hand, two-way cleanouts allow pros to access both sides of the sewer line, thanks to their dual-pipe design (they’re usually U-shaped).

Costs range from $200 to $600, depending on the severity of the blockage and access difficulty.

A sewer line should be cleaned at least once every 18 to 22 months. The process takes about 30 minutes or up to 5 hours, depending on the size of the line, how easy it is to access, and how long it’s been since the previous cleaning. If your sewer line hasn’t been cleaned in a couple of years or you don’t even know the last time it’s been cleaned, it’s time to call a pro.

No, you typically cannot use metal detectors to find your sewer line. Most sewer lines are made of non-metallic materials such as PVC, clay, or cast iron, which are not detectable by standard metal detectors. Metal detectors are designed to locate metallic objects, so they won't be effective for identifying the path of a non-metallic sewer line. To locate your sewer line accurately, it's best to use other methods.
