The job did not take as long as he had estimated so the final bill came in below the estimate.   He also gave us some tips on how to maintian the chimney.

"This was an insurance claim.  They take all the time that's needed to do a thorough inspection.  They made sure they came out when the insurance rep was here so they could make sure they were all on the same page.  We had a hail storm and we would have never known all the things that had been affected."

"John Paul was reponsive and prompt to do the inspection for the estimate.  After the proposal was accepted, the miscommunication and then complete lack of communication began.  I was unable to get any kind of schedule or idea of when the work would be done.  Finally after more than 3 weeks with no contact, I started the process of getting some new estimates and started to accept a proposal with another contractor.  The following morning John Paul called me to say he would be out that morning to do the chimney work, and that he would do the finish work the following day.  This was all very unexpected.
