Josh installed a new cap on my chimney when the old one came off from hail and wind. He came the next day as promised, installed the cap for the reasonable price he quoted and was very professional. I will use him again in the future for chimney work.

(I hadn’t even used the fireplace in between.) These guys used a camera apparatus that ostensibly showed my chimney and they said it had multiple problems that would cost close to $2000 to repair. They wrote CHIMNEY UNSAFE - DO NOT USE across the receipt I needed to submit. Then they kept calling to schedule repairs. Suspicious, I found the name of the company I’d used two years ago. The chimney passed their inspection without issue.

  Ashes Away was provided excellent service.  They called ahead to ask if they could be early and they were.  They explained everything they were going to do.  The price was reasonable.  Ashes Away uses a system that pulls the dust up the chimney and blows it out so there was very little noise and no dust in the house.   I will use them again.

Excellent.  Came on time with prior notice (text).  Very conscientious about protecting floors and preventing mess.  Did excellent job on chimney sweep (found much creosote previous sweeper had missed).  Then did a nice job repairing missing bricks and crown at top of chimney.  Applied a coating material over the crown that is supposed to last many years and was much cheaper that replacing the crown.  Am very happy with the work.

The initial cleaning and inspection revealed significant deterioration and damage both in the fireplace and in the chimney. The fireplace bricks were actually loose.  As a follow-up, the chimney was inspected with a camera device, and the needed repairs were obvious in the pictures.
We were not pressured at all, and in fact were given options and were asked to think for a couple of days about what course of action we wanted to take. We decided to proceed with the recommended repairs. Every thing was done in a timely manner, and both the persons involved were cordial and professional.

The service was wonderful.  It is a father son team and the father came out while they were working in the area.   He was super nice and was full of great information.   He pointed out a few issues and told me how to fix them DIY and for the work that I would need them to do quickly estimated it for me and at no time did I feel pressured to get that done right away.     I was very happy with my service.

Very friendly, helpful, and communicative. The initial appointment was for a chimney sweep. After an initial check of the chimney and fireplace, Eric pointed out the lack of a mesh screen on the chimney cap and the existence of gaps where the flue met the firebox. He quoted the cost of those extra work items in a low-pressure manner. When I agreed to the extra work, he arranged an appointment for the following morning when he and his son could bring the extra equipment needed. I told him that I had a firm time that I needed to leave for a work obligation in the morning, and Eric promised to do his best to accommodate it.
Eric and Josh arrived the next morning and got to work promptly. They coordinated their respective tasks to get the job done efficiently. During the chimney sweep Eric found the remains of a squirrel's nest. He also found a second gap in the firebox, which he added to the repair work at no extra cost. They completed their work almost an hour ahead of the initially-quoted completion time, saying that they wanted to respect my scheduling obligations.
Both men were very friendly and pleasant to work with. I will likely hire them again in the future.

Very professional.  Came out a month earlier and gave an estimate and we set up a appt a month later due to the nesting chimney swifts.  They called 2 days prior to appointment to confirm.  They were on time and professional.  Took some pictures of my chimney to show me the recommended repairs.  They were courteous and professional and did a great job.  Highly recommend.
