"I rank Landson Construction #1 in the list of contractors we have hired in our 40 years of home ownership. Ari and his team of subcontractors recently completed a challenging remodel of one of our bathrooms--challenging because it is a very small area with limited space. Their finished job looks better than our separate remodel of a larger bathroom completed by one of the big firms that advertises daily on television. Examples: the tile work in our small shower is exceptional, and the vanity/oversized sink is a perfect match that does not dominate the small room. Ari Erickson (no relation to me) offered selections from his preferred vendors, but we had full latitude to shop on our own for all tile and fixtures. He and his subcontractors kept us fully apprised at all stages of the project, arrived promptly throughout the course of the work, responded promptly to our texts and emails, and cleaned up their work area at the end of each day. My highest recommendation: I always seek at least four bids for a major project, but I would forego that process and hire Landson Construction again for future building/remodeling projects, and would encourage friends and family to do the same."

From the start, Fillip was attentive and professional. He met with both of us, listened to all our concerns, and helped us come up with a solid game plan. I can’t say enough good things about his company. He truly cares about his customers something you don’t see enough these days. Even though I was responsible for providing all the materials, when the transitions I bought didn’t quite match the look of the floor, Fillip went above and beyond. He found and picked up the right pieces that same day so the job could be finished properly. I may not have the flashiest kitchen, but thanks to Fillip, the floor is flawless and I’m definitely hiring him again to do the backsplash once my partner finishes installing the trim. The bill came and they tacked on a flat charge of $219 for the coolant (this is in addition to the $129 charge to look over the split unit). I felt baited-and-switched. I also contacted them about this, and the answer came down to "This is additional profit for us added onto your bill." Not pleased. At all. Particularly since the coolant in question costs approximately $6 per pound and they only used 5 lbs (one would assume that the $129 charge built in enough profit for labor/licenses/equipment due to the limited time spent working on the split unit. Apparently not). Comfort By Design does excellent work, and they do stand by their work, but just be VERY CAREFUL in finding out what they're going to charge you, particularly if something extra comes up when they're doing a job."
