Customers say: Super punctual

"Both Dave and Danny provided exceptional service during this project. They made sure that the door was installed with upgraded and weather proof framing. To complete this work they also installed a modernized deadbolt lock and connected the door to existing security systems. We couldn't be happier with the services rendered."

"Chuck did a good job. I did not ask for prices up front, so that was my mistake, but Chuck charged by the item rather than by the hour. He was here for 2 hours and charged $340.00. I feel $170 an hour to be very high. Chuck also did not clean up after himself which was very frustrating. I found garbage everywhere. One item I had him do was to add salt to the water softener. The empty bag was left on the floor, right next to the garbage can."

"He did a great job and worked very hard! He saved our roof rafters in our attic and created a new opening in the hallway ceiling. He carefully caulked all of our exterior windows and doors, washed & painted the exterior, installed a new gutter and drain pipe, just to name a few items... Very flexible in working with me on decisions as to what repairs were needed inside and outside of the house. Very relational and friendly. Really cares about his work!"

Hello, I am Sam the Handy Man, I am a Licensed Building Contractor in the State of Minnesota and fully insured up to a million dollars per state requirements.\n\nI started this as a handyman business and quickly moved up into larger jobs and now focus mostly on remodels basements bathrooms interior remodels but I can handle anything exterior and exterior on residential homes. \nBeing licensed allows me to hire subcontractors for plumbing and electrical if needed. But I can work on existing electrical and existing plumbing. \nI try to work 5 to 6 days a week, I offer free quotes. My typical hours run between 8 and 9, to 3 to 4. For most jobs I charge by the hour, material costs are on the client, and I have a general contract everybody signs.

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

In Savage, it’s time to schedule handyman projects if you notice peeling paint after winter, warped deck boards, or gaps in exterior caulking—common after freeze-thaw cycles. Look for signs like water stains in the basement, loose railings, or cracked driveway surfaces. Regular home maintenance checks each spring and fall help catch these issues early, keeping your property in top shape year-round.

Helpful?

In Savage, start your seasonal inspection routine by checking roofs, siding, and decks each spring for winter damage. Summer is ideal for repainting and sealing exterior wood. In fall, clear gutters and inspect weatherstripping before cold weather sets in. During winter, monitor for ice dams and basement leaks. Consider setting reminders based on Savage’s seasonal weather patterns to keep your home maintenance on track.

Helpful?

To make handyman projects safer in Savage, use low-VOC, pet-safe paints and sealants, and store all tools and supplies in locked containers when not in use. Install temporary barriers at room entrances to keep kids and pets away from work zones. Schedule work during school hours or daycare times, and ask your handyman about dust control measures, especially in older homes with potential lead paint.

Helpful?

Completing handyman projects in Savage offers immediate benefits like improved comfort, better insulation, and enhanced safety before winter. Long-term, you’ll prevent moisture damage from snow and ice, maintain curb appeal, and boost energy efficiency. Regular home maintenance also helps your property stand out in Savage’s real estate market, supporting higher resale values and reducing the risk of costly repairs down the road.

Helpful?

In Savage, unexpected costs often arise from permit requirements for electrical or plumbing work, especially in older neighborhoods. Weather delays can increase labor time, and projects may uncover hidden damage like rotted wood or outdated wiring that needs upgrading. Extra fees for hauling away debris, protecting landscaping during work, or sourcing specialty materials for weatherproofing are also common in the area.
