"Our water stunk like rotten eggs! Scott came out, looked everything over and did numerous tests on our water. He explained what he had found and took all the time we needed to understand what the problem was. He was more like a good friend than a salesman! We felt total trust in the company. We were able to schedule an install of a new water softener system the next day! The man who did the install (I have forgotten your name, sorry) was professional and did an excellent job. We are very happy with the new system! I definitely recommend this company and would use them again!!!"

"Its been six months since Aquarius Home Services installed our water softening and reverse osmosis sytems. We love having soft water for washing and bathing and knowing that our drinking water is safe to drink. As part the followup purchase contract Aquarius provides, today our technician, Nick Knapper, tested all the equipment to ensure everything was running properly. He answered all my questions, changed filters, filled the salt tank, and left additional salt. I couldn't have asked for more prompt, courteous, and reliable service. Thank you, Nick and Aquarius Home Services!"

"We used Finken when we built our new home. They were so helpful from beginning to end and now with service these last 5.5 years. We love the automatic deliveries of salt and reverse osmosis filters. We were previous water dispenser customers also and the automatic water jug deliveries were also great! We recently had them out as our Reverse Osmosis system was making a buzzing sound and they were quick to diagnose and provide a fix. Everyone is knowledgable and friendly and we will use Finken for life!"

"Exceptional service to update my master bath lighting as part of a bath remodel. This is my second major project done by Randy’s. I appreciated the help in designing my lighting. I added 4 ceiling lights and 3 new sconces by the mirrors. Another outlet was also installed along with a new vent fan. Getting advice on the latest lighting fixtures was helpful to me in updating bath lighting not updated since 1985. My old vent fan still worked and it was recycled for use in my guest bath as a cost saving measure suggested by Randy’s. The work site was thoroughly cleaned after the project was completed. Very satisfied and will use for all my electrical needs in the future."

"Other companies were out here and tried to sell me a new system instead of trying to repair the existing set up. John from Schultz Soft Water fixed what we had first and if not working replace later. Everything is still fine. What a breath of fresh air to have honest fair people still left in the business."

"I used them through a big deal on Angie's List. It turned out great. The big deal was for $199. I spent about $500 total. We had stairs and extra rooms. They are passionate about what they do. The drying time was a couple of days."

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

Softened water prevents scale deposits, reducing appliance wear, leading to energy savings and longer-lasting household fixtures.

Selecting the right system depends on testing your water to understand the contaminants present and considering your household's water usage and specific needs, such as removing specific contaminants.

The chemicals in a water softener can wear down the anode rod in the heater and shorten its life span. However, for most people, the benefits of the softener outweigh this potential drawback.

Have a plumber inspect the anode rod annually for damage, as replacing the anode rod is far less expensive than replacing the entire water heater.

Water purifiers and water softeners serve different purposes, so the best one will depend on your particular needs. Water purifiers remove contaminants from water (such as bacteria, viruses, and chemicals), leaving you with ultra-clean and safe water. However, water softeners remove minerals from your water so that the water doesn’t leave stains around your house or cause plumbing problems.

To get utilities set up on a property, you first have to contact the local department of planning to determine whether your property is able to connect to public utilities. From there, you can work with a structural engineer and/or a building contractor to design the layout of utility lines on the property. The pros will need this information as they begin securing building permits before they can start adding lines.

If your property isn’t able to connect to public utilities, you’ll need to consider working with pros to develop a comfortable off-grid home that will meet your needs.
