"I am a renter and my landlord unfortunately decided to hire these guys to perform work on our house after a bad storm we had last summer. They initially came and worked on portions of the roof then after a couple of weeks, they would show up randomly for sometimes only an hour at a time. The work officially started around late September and did not quite finish until December of last year. The work ethic was horrible, they left nails all around the lawn and also left their equipment laying around our property for months at a time. Instead of throwing away the leftover siding and pallets they came in on, they decided to officially leave it all on our property so now I have to find a way to dispose of it. Very unprofessional and would not recommend such poor and lazy company to anyone. DO NOT HIRE."

"Jim just finished a complete remodel of our kitchen. This included replacing all of the cabinets with custom cabinets, new electrical and a tile backsplash. We had him remove a portion of a wall and widen the doorway between the kitchen and dining room. The work was outstanding and the price very reasonable. Jim is very friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. He coordinates the subcontractors he uses to make sure things are done quickly but with high quality. I highly recommend James Tussing Construction for any remodeling."

"Absolutely terrible experience. Time management, punctuality & quality craftsmanship were non existent. The list of mishaps is too long to share. Take the backsplash, for example. Marble herringbone was installed without spacers, tile was cut with a dry saw, while cutting tile they left the door open so dust was everywhere. We had to hire someone else to remove the tile (had to throw $500 of product away) & reinstall. Everything they touched in our house is a disaster - we can’t even put our fridge back in its spot because they didn’t level the flooring."

If you have a problem with your window, such as broken glass, minor leaks, or a problem with your window being stuck, repairing the broken part might be a cheaper option than replacing the entire window. However, if you have a deteriorating window frame or major leaks, buying a new window will be the better long-term solution.
Window replacement can become costly, especially if you’re replacing your whole home. There are a few steps you can take to help save money on the bottom cost while still giving your windows a facelift.
Replace multiple windows at once to bundle your purchase
Inquire about discounts, coupons, or special offers
Consider window repair as soon as you see damage to help prevent the need for replacement
Maintain your windows often by inspecting your windows for drafts, leaks, and cracks
There are certain window repairs that are cost-effective to DIY and relatively simple for homeowners to tackle themselves. Tasks like replacing a screen, replacing a lock, or sealing a window are typically under $30 and take minimal time to do yourself. However, if you need to replace your window or repair a broken double pane, it’s best to call in a professional window replacement installer to lend a hand. Replacing the majority or all of the windows in your home is a time consuming job and best left to a professional.
Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.
The time it takes to replace a window is a total of four to 15 weeks. This time includes your initial consultation, appointments for measuring, as well as ordering and manufacturing your windows. For a smaller job, you can expect the total timeline to be on the shorter end, but for a whole house window replacement, it might take longer (or be split into multiple install appointments). Once your windows are created and ready to be installed, your window installer will take 30 to 60 minutes per window to install.
