We found Standard and another company on Angie's List. We also called a local company that we had seen a lot of signs for, in the yards of people, whom I assume had used their service. Standard, who came to the house last, came out the best in their presentation of what the would do, and how they would do it. Downside, they had the highest in price by about 10%, and were about seven weeks out on starting work. The other company from your list, gave a less adequate explanation of what they would do, and was priced about in the middle. They were about 4 weeks out on doing the job. When I asked about some of the things Standard said they would do, they said \"Oh, well we do those things as well we just didn't mention it.\" Knowing from past experience, the difference between what a salesmen will say when trying to close a sale, and what the workers on site will actually do, I lost faith at this point that this was indeed the case. The local company had the worst presentation, and the lowest price. When I asked the local about some of the things Standard said they would do, he stated \"None of that is necessary, but if I wanted it done, it would cost me more money.\" Turned out it was then higher than Standard. Only good thing, he could do the job in two weeks. Strike the local company. On the scheduled day, Standard Water Control Called early to let us know they would be late due to a scheduling conflict. On arrival the foreman re-explained what and how they would do the job. They wasted no time getting started, and when I asked for a completion time estimate, he said about 4 Hrs for their part of the job, it took 3 hr 45min. including cleanup. This is a two day process, Demo and install day one. Concrete finishing early on day one, again about 4 hr. including cleanup. If not for the dark color of the new concrete, you would not have known how much work had been done. Every thing that was promised has been done. It looks great and has worked great in the two down pours we have had since it was done. We got what we paid for, I would highly recommend Standard Water Control Systems to any one."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mn/crystal/standard-water-control-systems-inc-reviews-73639.htm"},"position":4},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"AutoPro Auto Service","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"MN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Sean S."},"reviewBody":"I dropped my vehicle off for a front end alignment and used the early bird key drop off. He returned sometime later with a proposal. His presentation was excellent. Most importantly to me, there were very specific requirements, something most contractors will not provide. My wife and I decided to hire him, although his bid was higher than other contractors we had contacted. I made it clear at the time that I have learned from sad experience that contractors cannot always be trusted to do a professional job. As a result, I insist on monitoring the work so I know first-hand that shoddy work has not been covered up. That has caused problems with a few contractors who expect to be trusted. I tell them that it is my house and my money, and I don't like to proceed on a basis of trust with workers I don't know. Terry stated that he had no problem with that.
At first, things went well as the siding was removed and the house was rewrapped. As the summer passed and the work progressed that situation degraded. Terry had indicated he had a professional crew of full-time workers with some part-timers doing some of the easier tasks. Generally, that was true but the workers were not well supervised, and mistakes were made by both the full and the part timers. John, who seemed to be the foreman of the project made mistakes ordering the windows, which resulted in a stoppage of work pending the exchange of windows. The workers moved to another project, which seemed reasonable, but they did not immediately return when the window exchange was made. A subcontractor, who was working on the roof and installing the windows, insisted on bringing his son, who was 10 or 12 years old, with him. It became a problem when he let his son work without supervision. The son worked without a drop cloth and got putty on the carpet. Both the sub and his son felt free to enter the house without knocking and to roam the house at will. There was a time when I caught the son handling personal items on the top of a dresser in a bedroom he had no business being in. This caused a dispute between the sub and me, which ended with the sub leaving the project.
When work resumed on the siding, the crew was not totally the same as the original one. Two or three of the crew were now quite unprofessional and seemed to feel that their work should not be criticized. That would have been fine with me if they had performed it well; but they did not. I noticed that some of the workers would make inaccurate cuts so that the siding panels did not fit together properly and then justify it by pointing out that it would be covered by other panels so it would not show. I told them that I expected work to be done properly whether or not it was visible at completion. After that, they began doing things, including minor vandalism, out of spite. They would lay the panels with the painted side up (I had chosen to have the siding factory painted because there is better quality control in a factory) when they were cutting them. Silica dust from the panels would then settle on the painted side reducing the glossy appearance of the siding. I told John that I did not find that acceptable, especially since the problem would go away if they cut with the painted side down. When the workers continued their improper cutting technique, I told them directly and I told Terry that the silica dust could not be removed and the panels would require repainting. Terry agreed to repaint the ruined sections of panel, and he did personally repaint much of the affected siding, including that which was visible. Delays for various reasons stretched the project from the estimated weeks to three months. It was, all in all, a very unpleasant experience that I hope never to repeat; however, Terry did all he reasonably could to keep the commitments of the contract. By job end most of the bad work had been redone and the house looks quite nice. It seems to be quite solid and much less drafty than it had prior to the work.
Terry told me recently that the workers who had caused the problems were no longer employed at Twin City Siding Professionals. I have no reason to doubt his word. As a result, I am having a difficult time assigning a grade for the overall experience. For me personally, it was a terrible experience. On the other hand, I don't know how much of the fault should lie with Terry and his company. It appears that some information that I had given to the project manager, John, had not been passed along to Terry. I suspect, and would certainly hope, that current clients would not be subjected to a similar experience. At the end of the project, my respect for Terry as a businessman and as an honest man were undiminished.

Work quality was poor. Several spots missed without finish on it. Chips in floor left and/orcreated by him. Many places where dirt or hairs were left and incorporated into the finish permanently. He told us afterwards we should fill holes ourselves, when key reason hired was to fix small holes (holes are supposed to be fixed before according to other professionals).
Also, he misled us on the amount of dust he would create. We had rooms with door shut that he filled with dust. Dust was on new bedspreads, books, etc. It was a huge mess. He had assured us there would be minimal dust andwehad agreed on what needed to be covered by us, and what he would cover himself. He later admitted he had problem with sander he used on steps where he lost control of dust flying.
We made the mistake of writing him the check (it was on a weekend) as when we looked at it from distance (couldn't walk on floor at that time) it looked ok and couldn't see mess and quality problems. I had told him he needed to hold check a couple of business days until we could move money to account.
After we were able to walk on floor next day we saw huge mess and quality problems. I called him first thing Moday morning and explained problems. He gave name of professional cleaners and agreed to pay fee. When we called them, they said he had called them about our situation. I told him because of problem we needed to wait to pay until agreed to resolution of the problem. Two different friends had used him, so I gave him choice of cancelling check or if he gave his word to hold check we could go that path. He gave me word he would hold check. I hung up and 30 minutes when I was checking bank account for another reason saw he had cashed check. He had gone to bank right after hung up with me. We called bank and they said he got cash, so we had no way to stop payment.
He then showed up at our house unexpectedly two days later when cleaning service was working and we were there to fix some holes. He fixed three of what turned out to be many more holes unfixed. I reminded him cleaning service was being billed to him. Now He said no. When we reminded him he agreed, he said "I didn't say those words, your husband did. I just said ahuh.".
In summary, quality was poor, he was dishonest and unprofessional. They arrived promptly and found the issue in short order. They found a blown fuse and they were out for this same thing previously. Since this had occurred before, they performed additional troubleshooting, contacted the manufacturer, and found a very unique circumstance. This happened in the end of July during an extremely hot spell and windy period. What was found was that the mini-split unit's condenser on the roof was in the direct line of the strong winds and that the wind was working against the rotation of the fan to cause the motor to blow the fuse. They helped design a wind shroud and we had no issues through multiple similar weather patterns. FAQs for bird control service projects in Isanti, MN
Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:
The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.
For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.
Animal removal specialists specialize in removing critters and wildlife from in and around your home. These include:
Bats
Birds
Groundhogs
Moles and voles
Opossums
Mice and rats
Raccoons
Skunks
Squirrels
The specialist's method to remove these critters will depend on the animal. For example, groundhogs will be live-trapped and relocated, whereas, for birds, the expert will remove and discard the inactive nest and sanitize the area.
Professional animal removal costs between $200 and $600 for average homeowners. However, depending on the type and number of critters removed, this cost could range from $85 to $1,400.
This cost does not include the cost of home damage caused by the animal, which could be as low as $300 for minor drywall repair or as much as $15,000 for crawl space cleaning and restoration.
Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.
