"The original installation work was of very poor quality which led to the failure of bottom pin and separation of the veneer. Chuck had a look and clearly explained his plan for the repair and the estimated cost. He replaced hardware and the supporting block of wood between the veneer panels. The project was out of scope for our DIY skills/tools. We are very pleased to have this door reinstalled and functioning again. Bill was per the estimate. "Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."

Both of the main doors were pre-hung and the job was completed within a reasonable period of time and on schedule. His services were both professional and done with skilled quality. He was respectful and other than doors being opened now and then, you hardly knew they were here working. It is nice to have a handyman to call on when needed. We've already discussed a couple of other to-dos. He even told us cheaper ways to get one of the projects done even though he was willing. "Truly do not have enough awesome things to say about Sky and SNC Construction! We gave them a call after seeing other great reviews and being in desperate need of a handyman. Sky came over within a couple of days, gave us some rough quotes, and started working on our projects just a week later. We had him help with a bunch of random stuff around the house: installing a dog door in our storm door, installing two ceiling fans, cutting/replacing/painting wood trim, hooking up our dryer, and even fixing and setting up an old rusted bird feeder.
